  • Well, gang . . . I'm still alive but not kicking very hard. This heat and humidity is really getting to me. This is what I get for raving about how you don't really need central air conditioning in Nova Scotia because it's usually not too bad. HA.

At least I'm happy to report that my eating meltdown only lasted about 1/2 a day. Guess I just don't have the heart for a real pig-out any more. YIPPEE. So, my eating has been fairly good. Exercise has been non-existent. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to move as little as possible. Haven't gotten on the scale again, but I know I'm still retaining water because my ankles look like they've had balloons inserted in them. Just hope this oppresive weather breaks soon and that my www goes with it.

Congratulations to anyone who has had either a scale victory or a non-scale victory in the past couple of days. Have a great rest of the day, gang. Keep on moving and shaking as much as you can and I'll see you really soon.
  • YIPPEE . . . we've dropped the humidity by about 35 to 40 percentage points since first thing this morning and the change is delightful. Hopefully it will continue for a few days and I'll be able to get rid of some of this www by Wednesday.

Hope your long weekend weather is being as nice as ours. Have a great time doing whatever you are planning to do and I'll see you really soon.
  • Brandy... I'm so happy to hear that the fairy fat mother paid you a visit. AEWSOME!!!!!

Linda...Happy to hear you are getting some relief from the hot weather. WE have been very hot and humid. Had a terrible thunderstorm lastnight with much needed rain. It's a little cooler today (85), suppose to be another bumpy night. Linda, my shrimp salad I yesterday was very good. You made me hungry for one!! How about starting a new thread for July/Aug?

Finally got up to my sewing room today and finished the side I was working on. Had a mishap though, lost in thought and I put the needle through my finger. Bled on my quilt So I have that to try and get out tomorrow. Boy does my finger hurt. I been sooo upset and mad at the FD's I could spit nails, so I wasn't paying attention to my sewing. DUMB, HUH!! I have church in the morning, plus getting up at 4:30 to get hubby off to work. Hope to lay the last and final side out tomrrow. Hope you ladies have an awesome weekend.

    See you soon . . .
  • Oh CHERYL Have been there and done that while free-form quilting with the feed doggs dropped and no foot at all on the shank. Hurts doesn't it.

Our weather is still fairly dry although it is clouding over and thunderstorms are imminent, again. Don't really mind, as long as we don't get left with high humidity again.

    See you later, gators . . . Keep moving and shaking . . .
  • Hi MEL . . . looks like we both get the stupid prize for today . . . well, no, you only get the half stupid prize . . . I get a double stupid prize since I'm the one who started the new thread and then came back and posted in this one anyway. Hope we can both make it to the new one sometime soon.
