My thighs have been a little sore... well, not exactly sore, but I KNOW that they are there... and it took me until this evening to work out the reason why. I THINK it may have something to do with the 50 squats I did with the fit ball yesterday. When I first got the ball I had trouble doing even 10, but I haven't used it for a while and thought I would see how I went yesterday. I wasn't even feeling it after 50, but figured that it would be better to stop. Now I'm VERY glad that I did. I'm not really surprised that it took me so long to work out what was wrong with my thighs. I'm a slow learner at times. I could even be wrong about the cause, but it certainly sounds right to me.
Anyway... today I did 30 mins on the treadmill, 15 mins of laps with the kids and 40 mins on the bike. I went quite a bit slower to start on the bike, so did a bit longer to compensate.
Personal Goal... 195 + 85 = 280 over March goal (1980 mins for March so far)
Group Total... 14,097 + 85 = 14,182

I have decided that I may try to have a rest day from now on, to see how I go. I've been getting tired again and don't know if it is the exercising, or just the end of term. I don't think I'm over exercising by any means at the moment, but then again, I didn't think I was doing anything wrong before either. I'm thinking that Friday would be a good rest day because I am usually tired from the end of the working week and I enjoy getting out and walking over the weekends, so don't want to bother making Saturday or Sunday a rest day. We'll have to see how I go, because it is possible I will just feel too guilty and won't even have a rest day. Perhaps just a rest 'afternoon' if I am tired after work.
