LindsB-- I am in the same boat. The weekends are SO hard!! I guess I never wanted to admit just how many bajillion calories they involve.. haha
carol2208-- I signed up for the 5k back in September, and made it my goal to run 3 miles 2-3 times per week until the race. My natural, comfortable pace is between 10-11 mins/mile (which is pretty slow), but during the race I really felt the energy of the crowd. I pushed hard at the end... it must have shaved off a few minutes! Keep working at it; it's a great goal, and you can get there with practice and some mindful attempts at pushing beyond your comfortable pace (sprinting for a minute at a time, etc).
thelittleflower- Thank you! Love to know there are other little gals out there working on this, too.
Ahh, time for another work week. I work my usual 3 night shifts this week, starting tonight, but have volunteered to do some extra daytime shifts this week as well...
... hope that I can stay on plan for those days, as I tend to feel more ravenous when I get home.
We shall see!
As for my weight, my scale is off by 0.4, so if I add this to this morning's weigh in.... I am down to 127 on the nose! Making slow and steady progress.
Happy Monday everyone
