  • So today is my weigh-in day but I'm not going to actually count the weight for today until probably Monday or Tuesday since I just had a flight yesterday (I tend to retain a lot of water after flights, sometimes up to 4-5 pounds worth!) and I'm pretty constipated this week so my weight's kind of off. Add to that that the scale gave me three different weights this morning (and not in any progressingly increasing or decreasing matter ) so I'm somewhere between 1-3lbs heavier than I was last week. We'll see on Monday or so if that's a true gain or not. I have to fly again next week so I'll probably do the same delayed weight check-in then too...

    Weight Change: -9lbs

It looks like I did actually gain a pound during my trip. I'm not too thrilled about it because it definitely wasn't baby weight but rather pizza and steak weight since we ate out for 3 days straight. I have another trip coming up on Tuesday so hopefully I have access to better food this time around! DH actually looked at me this morning and then said "You've gotten fatter" I was just gee thanks...

Deltawifey. I'm glad you figured out what was going on there. I had a large cyst about that size and had to get it removed (along with the ovary). It was no fun but I felt a lot better afterwards (and was able to lose weight more quickly, the cyst seemed to really be holding back my weight loss). It wasn't during a pregnancy, though, so I'm not sure how that goes. Good luck!
  • Good luck! I remember for me too it was rather painful. It also caused lots of other nastiness (like constipation) so it wasn't fun at all. I did find that a hot water bottle helped A LOT as did a warm bath. During this time I really focused on diet. Eating red meat, caffeine, cheese, etc can aggravate a cyst. I became vegetarian for awhile and it helped significantly (and thankfully I've never had a cyst on the other side!!!).

  • I'm out.

I had a miscarriage over the weekend. Now I'm just trying to rest and spend to with my family. I hope you all have healthy and happy pregnancies!
  • Oh runningfromfat, I am so sorry for your loss. I'll be praying for you and your family.
  • prepregnancy was 183
I was 215.4 lbs this morning naked.
which is actually down 3 lbs from last week.

Still my first child, i was 182 when i went into the hospital. I started out at 145.

I was dx with gestational diabetes so i have been watching my sugar, which i think caused me to lose a lb. i have been feeling alot more hungry lately though, but I am 30 weeks.

i plan on doing some arm work, and leg work with weight resistance to help my body deal with the sugar better.
  • omg, running I am so sorry! My heart and prayers go out to you!
  • Thanks so much you guys. I'm doing ok. My family has been so incredibly supportive of me and have been keeping me very busy to keep my mind off of things.

Right now I'm focusing on my weight loss and hope that after I get to a healthy BMI I'll fulfill my dream of being skinny with a big belly and having a happy a healthy pregnancy.

Deltawifey- I'm so glad to hear that your cyst popped. Sorry about the pain but I hope everything else goes well!

I had my first appointment with a dietician about my weight management. I left pretty excited about starting a food journal and talking more at our appointment next week when she has a better idea of how a regular day goes for me.

I am going to the dietician again today. I was glad not to see the scale jump a bunch more this week. I am already off the charts when it comes to my weight gain so far this pregnancy. I just want to be healthy and keep baby safe in there. Ideally, I should be at a 10 pound gain at this time rather than 14 pounds. We are working towards maintaining for at least the next 4-6 weeks.
