It's a shame that with all the science going on out there - the best they can come up with for cheese and milk and butter is the real thing.
Nutrasweet made a huge difference in the taste of sweet foods - Diet Coke was such a miracle after the disgusting saccharin taste of Tab!
The best I've found for the butter/margarine is Promise and the sprays - not great but a huge calorie savings. Tracy is right - olive is good. I tossed out a half gallon of vegetable oil and replaced it with a tall can of *virgin* (how can you tell? LOL) olive oil.
Cheese - gak - the dogs got both of the fatfree Kraft slices - American and Cheddar but the Cabot 50% Light is pretty darn good. Going to grab some more today. Anyone tried the soy cheese substitutes?
Milk - everyone says you can get used to skim. Gak - I'm working my way down slowly. I don't drink it straight, though. I figure over cereal I might not notice the *blue milk* taste.
Well, I'm back where I was a week ago - this keeps happening - I get a one day glimpse of a weight - this time 160 and then I head back up three pounds for a week and then slowly come back down a pound every day or so. I think I'm BOUNCING!
Shopping day today! Another exciting adventure in the life of Rusty*Rusty. I'll take the list of foods I printed out yesterday from Prevention and see if I can find any more treats to make this go along. If I'm changing the way BoxerBob and I eat I need to find new favorites for the weekly dinner menu. Luckily cheese and chicken quesadillas were a hit. Whew. The Campbell's Soup something or other fettucine was a bomb.
