GOAL BABY!!!
Okay, I'm calm now. You made my day, though! Just one more.

Yeah, that zombie dream was messed up, lol. Last night I was up late watching crossfit videos of coaching sessions, then did my workout. Then I dreamed that I was working out at crossfit and that I got my handstand, lol. It didn't seem as scary in the dream. In real life, I'm skerred of falling on my head.
So, last night, I did some skills practice, cuz I'm crazy nervous about taking that Crossfit class, like what if my squat is total crap, or something like that, lol, then I practiced some overhead lifts...those are hardest for me. Before my workout, I decided to give the pull-up another go (on the apple tree, cuz we don't have a pull-up bar). I can't get it "strict", but I got a little higher than before, and it definitely is a big improvement over last year, when I could not even lift myself up at all. I got my shoulders a little higher than my elbows this time, so I'm getting there!
Barb, I have tried on the weightlifting gloves, but they're all padded, which to me made it harder to grip with. If they had some that were just leather, not padded, I'd try them, but haven't seen any like that, and the bike gloves all seem to be padded, as well. I just end up drying my hands a lot, too. I've seen people use chalk, but I'm not sure if that's just to keep hands dry or what. Glad you had a date with dh. Sorry he picked the cheesesteak place, but from his secrecy, it's obvious he's trying to be romantic, so try not to be too mad at him. He'll figure it out eventually, lol! You can always do something like skip the bread/cheese, see if they have veggies or salad, like even sandwich toppings, you can get a sandwich and load it up with onions, spinach or lettuce, tomato, etc, then just use a fork to eat it off the bread or have them hold the bread and cheese and just give you a plate. I think that if they have anything resembling some basic real food ingredients, you can work with that.
Gonna stop here, since it's half a novel already. Will check on the boys (my boy has a friend visiting) and check in on my next sit-down break.
