  • I know I shouldn't have let my situation stop me from going to the gym. I was going to keep my session with my trainer yesterday, but then I got a call from "the other woman" during my lunch break. I had to go home because I was having an anxiety attack. Excuses excuses! I have decided to re-commit myself to go even HARDER and prove that I am worth it and I can't be torn down. I will become the hot chick he always wished I was and then shove it in his face!!!!! Off to the gym i go!
  • When can someone say they are a runner? ")
  • Kittykat - I'm sorry the situation is so hard right now. Also sorry the other woman is calling you. Ridiculous. Unless for some work related reason she has to call, she shouldn't be bothering you at work or at home or anywhere. Don't get sucked into personal conversation with her. That just ups the drama factor and makes it worse.

No news by me. Just plugging along. Did wear a dress today that I couldn't squish into this time last year. So, that was fun.
  • Budget Baby -- Congrats on fitting into that dress. I am so looking forward to going through my closet and trying on the clothes I saved from lower weights.

KittyKat -- BudgetBaby nailed it. Please don't let that other woman suck you into any nonsense. You're above that!

Riestrella -- I haven't really heard Sarge tell people to take it easy much (like ever), so you really probably ought to heed that advice. Good luck on your 10k!
  • Anon -- Sarge only says take it easy when he reads that someone might go out and run 10 miles or go hard cardio before a race which turns their legs into concrete before reaching the starting line of a race.

Iamerica -- You're a runner the first time you put two "steps" together which might be considered a jog. And then you start running light pole to light pole, fire hydrant to fire hydrant, etc. It gets easier every day!

    Budget -- YAY squishy dress!
  • Hope everyone is having a good weight loss week. I have been so busy but I am still here. I peeked this morning and I am down for the week but only because I have been so busy I keep forgetting to eat.
  • Hello from vacation! A little indulging, smart choices and lots of walking!!
  • Don't worry folks, I definitely changed my mind on the running long distance! Today and tomorrow is rest + stretch days. Got my mid-week exercise in at the gym but now I'm waiting for the race on Sunday. It was on my training programme to rest these two days anyway, so I'm cool with that 8)
  • Good Morning on this Fabulous Friday!!

I was worn out yesterday. Between my workout yesterday morning, being with the kids in the class for the first full week, then running after work in the so hot sun, I was snoring on the couch by 7:30! HA.

I'm thinking a bike ride is in order today.

M-Goob-I'm 5'6, so just a few inches on you. We are getting there!

KitKat-You can do it. Do it for you! The gym is calling you!

Reso-Good to see you didn't go AWOL. You know we'll just hunt you down.

Riestrella-Rest days are good before a race. Stretch it out, go for a walk if you feel the need to move. Your race is going to be great.

  • Morning troops!!!!

Chesh--I love your poster too much this morning to distract with my silliness!

    Have a great day all!
  • Good Morning Platoon!

Chesh- Another great poster. I'm going to have to put that one up on the gym tack board

Riestrella- Good luck on the big race Sunday. With a few rest days you will have tons of energy saved up.

KitKat- I am sorry to hear about all your stress. Channel it all into yourself. Nothing levels out the endorphin's like a good work out. Staying on track and getting fit will be the ultimate confidence boost for you.

iamerican- I agree with Sarge. I say you are a runner as soon as you tackle that first loop. It'll be slow and it'll be hard but you will do it and that makes you a runner in my book.

PacSun- Enjoy your vacation and the lovely weather. Plenty of fun outdoor activities to fill the time.

BudgetBaby- Congrats on the dress fitting! Isn't it great when you can go shopping in your own closet?!

Peanutt- Congrats on the new gym equipment. I'm going to unofficially second your COMMANDO poster vote

Pokey- What is this bodybug thing I've been hearing about?

We are having tomato-palooza in our garden this week! Summer squash is great as well. I am now also a huge fan of beets. Who knew?
I'm feeling better day. I got some good sleep last night and will try to be in bed early again tonight. Have a great Friday everyone.
  • Early weigh in: Not so good. up 1.0 to 240.8
    Next pledge: 1
    Will add miles after sat.

My running was prime, but my eating was over one day and not so healthy another. This weekend I am going to a weekend long party for my cousin who is home from his deployment in afghanistan. Previously, I planned to completely let loose all weekend, but this gain is motivation to keep it in gear and have some fun but not too much.

Good thing everyone is so hardcore they can make up that pound.

BudgetBaby: Nice job on getting in that dress
  • Jogged a new 4 miles this morning. I love exploring new routes. It was actually pretty chilly when I went out...it took a good 1.5 before I was no longer cold.

Chesh - How did the first week with kids go? I am going to Kindergarten Orientation today. The Ks get the run of the school for 2 wks of 1/2 days before the other kids come back.

KittyKat - Not trying to beat you while your down or anything, just trying to keep ya motivated and moving and focused on your goals. YOU CAN DO IT!

Ries - Enjoy the race! Can not wait to hear all about it.

Rated - down is a good thing when we are talking about the scale.

Reso - Glad you checked in with us. You have made amazing changes in your life over the last 2 years. That is something to be proud of. I am sorry you are feeling down.

Peanutt: Oh you tell HUBBY, Commando STEVE is going up and if he puts his poster up, then you just put Commando Steve right on top of it . . . LOLOLOLOL

iamerican: Have a great time, sounds like fun

Rated: Pack some snacks in with your books. YOU MUST EAT or else the "furnace" will quit running . . .
