Evening all,
Nice to see all the posts.
I had a busy day. Went to the doctor. I like his scale better, showed a 10# loss. I weighed the same three months ago as I did when I restarted here two weeks ago. Doctor is applying for physical therapy for me to see if it will help my hip, back, knees. I have been having balance problems and therapy will address that too. If not he wants me to get a walker. I think he wanted me to feel better about it (I'm too young for a walker, that's for old folks!) cause he kept telling me they come in fancy colors now, have wheels and not your grandmothers' walker and they come in pretty colors, they have brakes, a basket and they come in pretty colors.....okay doc I get the idea!!! He also said I could use a handicap tag as when I walk I have to stop and rest, not because I'm SOB but because my hip and back hurt. He didn't have anymore forms, so I had to go to DMV and get one, back to his office to have it filled out and signed, then back to DMV and had to wait everytime and everywhere. I also went to WinnDixie to get some liver for Lori and I. Then I was too tired to cook it. And I never did get any laundry done. I am glad about the tag, That will help immensely, especially in Wally's World where I go often. So that was my day! Oh, one thing I was glad to hear. I can go in the hot tub if it's not too hot and only for 10-15 minutes. Ever since I was diagnosed with diabetes my DIL worried about me being in it becasue I also have hypertension. I kept forgetting to ask the doctor. He said not to use ones at the gym as they can be cranked up to as high as
140'. I think Lori has ours at 120.
TONI: It is very springlike here. I have been enjoying the patio/deck. Soon our LA weather will be too hot and humid to just sit out there unless you're swimming. When I can't sleep, I'm like BOB, I have to get out of bed, hurts less or something. Besides I keep tossing and turning and drive myself crazy.......yeah, I know, I don't have much of a drive to do it!
ROSALIE: Having a walking partner is nice, time goes faster and easier, or so it seems. My neck is fine today. Was just sore this morning and it worked itself out. Hate it when I can't find something. Buy a new hook and you'll find the old one! Will have to wait for Kevin to come home from Puerto Tico to make the Toad thing and the Bubble and Squeak will need some leftover mashed potatoes. Yvonne said the same thing, it was served with leftover cold meat.
MONET: In spite of not seeing Ruth seems like you had a lovely day. Did the teacups turn out okay? I do my best work at weird hours of the day!
Such as nice present too.
Guess I better shut-up a while. If I stay awake in the recliner I may check in again before bed.
BOB: Ill do some laundry tomorrow after the NH. Gotta keep up with your good example.
May good things happen, Shirley

aleka! I have had ongoing problems with my cholesterol, but I do not take my medication as I should. What has come down with SB though is my Triglycerides, from the 400's down to 70's & 80's.
You are not butting in! We are more than happy to pull up another chair for you to join us! SB IS good for cholesterol. It helps my husband keep his under control. He refuses to take medication for cholesterol, so diet is very important, and our doctor recommended Sugarbusters. You have to be careful with the saturated fats, as well as watch your starches. You can't find a healthier, more balanced plan than Sugarbusters! I hope you join us!
