That is awesome! How does it feel? Welcome back Apple. I have the same crunch problem, only with my two dogs.
my friend had at dinner tonight at her house. (Though, ok, to be totally honest, she sent a piece home for me to freeze and have when I am done with the challenge
) So, day 18 - no
, and day 14 - follow menu, both challenges met.
Are you SURE you want to do that???
Hmmmmm now where is that "kick butt" icon I saw someone request be added to the forums??
No way! Great going on that save! Only a few more days to go on your one challenge. You're rockin! And I really like hearing that you feel you've been making "great strides." Yes, I had/have a similar definition of "serving" at times!
And you're so right on the behavior/mindset change that this is bringing about. I feel that I, too, am going through some changes, not so much with eating, but with other things, and that is in turn affecting the eating etc. Good luck! and good luck on Monday's weigh-in, but always remember, there's so much more to this thing than numbers on a scale!
And yes, I am really trying to get away from the all-or-nothing attitude and think I am making progress there. I'm not sure what meeting you were referring to. Had lunch with the new prez, that was ok, don't really know what she's up to, wants me in some managerial position. I said, yes, but don't know. Will cross that bridge... Interview the next day went well. I'm doing a story for a racing mag. I know the guy. We had a nice talk in a two or three-part interview. Maybe I'll meet him once more in Tokyo then go up to his farm in Hokkaido for the wrap. Story's not due till June. Other meeting was just hanging out with a coworker. We got pretty smashed and ended up in some crazy Irish pub and then almost getting the police dragged in because some McDonald's manager was trying to kick us out at 3 a.m. (in mid-bite). Oh, too funny. Can't be doing this kind of stuff too often but I do have fun. That, of course, was a pause day!
You must be absolutely a knockout by now with all that exercise! And you're not the only one impressed!
I'm the opposite. Days with the office (I'll call them weekdays) are the hard ones for me. The sitting in the office, the call of the pub after work with coworkers, the frustration, the dislike, all make them so hard for me to get through well. BUT, I am doing it. You can too!! Good luck on the party. Just allow yourself what you want, but take it easy..that's not against your challenge, is it?
Good for you!! Never be discouraged! Do NOT focus on numbers! If you do you set yourself up for a fall. Focus on your efforts, always! You are at times like a caterpillar in its chrysalis, changing out of sight, but nonetheless changing to later reveal the exquisite beauty of YOU! Your victories are right there in front of you...knees not hurting so much, feeling better! Those are what you must bear always in mind!
Regarding your note to jolly, I just wanted to point out that I think each person has a different "purpose" for her challenge, so jolly is probably ok. (We hope!
)As the challenge is largely about habits, I have used them before to make the NOT doing something the habit and then I can indulge when I'm off, but as the indulging is no longer the norm, no longer the habit, it is most definitely progress. Everyone is different, however, but habit-forming, not merely losing weight is the goal of most of the challenges, including mine. Your concern is most appreciated though, I'm sure!
Come out and post!
It was JUST a joke!!!
It is a gorgeous day here. Got to ride outside, and my boy managed to keep most of his brain in his head, even with so many distractions
Why do I have a stallion again? Oh yeah, cuz I love the spoiled rotten monster! Also did an extra workout to make up for some of my eating this week. And took advantage of the weather with a nice long dog walk.
I do feel it is ok to enjoy everything, occasionally, in moderation. But I have to learn what moderation is. That is why the portion thing this week was so huge for me. I used to just cook as much as I could fit in the pan/pot/bowl/whatever, and eat until it was gone. Sometimes, I would save some for later, but not often. Now, even if I am not always at a single serving, I am having a much smaller amount than before. And I realize that I am full with that. I am more in touch with my body, and more in control. This is just a great turning point. But no, I don't want to binge on something just because my challenge is done. The point is to enjoy something, without indulging/binging.
and day 15 - follow menu, both challenges met. Have a super night all
Really hate that. Trying to make a poorly written story readable and getting paid a pittance for it. When it conflicts with my workout I am not happy!
This challenge seems to be going really, really slowly but I guess it's because it's one of those challenges that you really have to be vigilant about ALL day long. I feel it's really helping me out though. My face is definitely starting to get its lines back, instead of looking like a swollen balloon!
Unfortunately, my face is not a good indicator of the rest of me, as it always tends to be quite thin. I can be very happy with my face but, uh-oh!, don't check out the butt and thigh monsters!
Hope to hear more from you.
Finally well enough to get going again.
Couldn't eat anything else.
for me!

I'm not surprised at all since you've been working so hard, and I know you can do it.
