I primarily do reading groups most of my day and support students in language arts in the classroom. On my off days, I have classes and my classes are spread apart on campus. I generally log in 13000+ steps on my fitbit daily.

  • I think I'm doing better with inches than pounds at the moment. Had a couple of slow weeks right around New Year's. Seems to be picking up now....at least, I hope. Have lost 6 pounds since starting the challenge New Year's Day, but I've lost 13.5" in that same time frame.

  • Well, I missed the cutoff to post my loss for the week so it didn't register, thought it was Sunday. Anyway, I'm down 1 lb. I'll take it!

    I got my Aria scale set up yesterday and synched with my fitbit flex. I like it. Anything to make tracking my losses more fun. The only downside is that it measures my weight 2 lbs. heavier than my old scale. So for now, I'm just going by my old scale in my mind, until I'm mentally ready to make the shift. Ha.

    I like my flex wristband too. I'm not going crazy with the walking, but it does inspire me to take a couple of laps around the block. And I'm parking farther away from stores. All the little things add up. Plus, I'm getting up from my desk more during the day.

    Try moving the scale around on different surfaces. I get five different readings in my bathroom alone, based on where it's placed. Once you find the "sweet" spot where it matches your other scale, leave it there.

  • Just updated my weight in the spreadsheet. Down 1.7lbs. I was kind of surprised because I had a work conference on the weekend and definitely was not compliant. Think chicken wings and red wine. So I was pretty happy to see a loss this week.

  • Added my loss for the week.... Kicked that +1 last week to the curb with a 3lb loss this week. And I lost 3 inches this week....that's amazing for this far into the program! Love IP! Just stick to it.
