  • Yay Boopchick!! Sounds like you've dialed in something good!
  • Started at 251, last weigh in 245, today 241.8. I am just really worried about keeping myself accountable. I don't log on here often enough, and I haven't been keeping my food journal up to date. Fingers crossed I'm turning a corner!
  • FatDoesntDefineMe! I bumped the "Getting out of the 220s and 230s" thread to make it easy for us to find when we leave the 240s. Looks like you're closing in on that decade! Good job!!
  • Welcome FatDoesntDefineMe ! It looks like you are almost out of here Congratulations!

Laura you made my day when you bumped the 230's thread. Thanks for such a healthy laugh!

boopchick I was shocked when I learned how much better I did with fasting. The thing I love is that it can be done with any weight loss plan.

My weight is back down to 243.6 as my low for the third time. This must be my break through number. All right then off I go to charge through it!

Let's go ladies the 230's thread is waiting for us!
  • Hey girls!

I hit a new low: 243.3 this morning. I'm really excited that things are finally moving after the June stall. Ubee we are neck & neck for getting to the next thread. LET'S DO THIS!!!

    Onward and downward all!!
  • 240.8 this morning, but that's usually when I shoot back up to 245... How do you guys find motivation to get up and exercise? I love the positivity in this thread.
  • Hello, the last time I was on this site was October 29th. I had just barely made it into the 230's. So here I am again, getting out of the 240's. Newly committed, starting over and anxious to deal with this now. I was at an OA convention in June, got a food sponsor and have been really accountable. I have worked a very strong OA program in my personal life and have basically been able to stop gaining weight, (which has been HUGE by the way) but I have not been able to apply the principles to finding what worked for me to lose weight. Hopefully I am no track right now.
  • Welcome Newby60!
Fatdoesn'tdefineme, I am never motivated to exercise. I just started to commit to it this month. I have made it a habit and tied it in with other habits. If I don't have a form of movement planned for the day I have to ride the exercise bike before I can put my shoes on. Since I have to make my bed before I can get dressed and then have to dress to shoes this is one way I am forcing myself to move daily. So far it is working. Apparently I am very good at following certain rules I make for myself.
  • FatDoesntDefineMe my motivation is that I WANT to be able to take up running again. I love to run and when I had lost over 100lbs I took up the sport and loved it. I even ran a half marathon on my 45th birthday. I ate like a jerk and gained it all back over the course of 5 years. My half marathon experience wasn't great and I have wanted to revisit that length on my own terms once more. To do that, I need to be able to run. When my brother died last month, I committed to doing a kayak tour on what would be his birthday in October. So, my motivation is to myself and being the best version of myself. I admit it's not easy and I'm in the "making it a habit" stage still myself, but my will is there.

They say it takes 21 days for a habit to form, commit to exercising the next 21 days and see what happens. Also, if you can get a fitness tracking app (Nokia Health Mate for example, uses your phone's gyro settings to count your steps); you don't have to invest in an expensive wearable, and the apps kind of make a game out of getting in enough steps. You may find it motivating on its own. Keep posting and checking out the site. It's amazing how much inspiration you can get just from reading what others are doing and succeeding with.
  • Thanks Laura and congrats on your new low weight!
    Welcome and great job fatdoesntdefineme!

  • Ladies! We are closing in on 230s!!! I'm even lower again today (in spite of a McD's cone - ate the ice cream only and made sure it fit my calorie and carb parameters) as I'm 2.9lbs away!!! We are rocking this!!!!
  • Sitting pretty at 243.
Laura moving on down lower again today I see. You are really working your program.
Well done boopchick. It may bounce a bit or it may go lower. Either way we are doing this ladies.
    How is everyone else doing?
I have two eating events this weekend. The scale may bounce BUT I plan on being 243 or lower come Monday morning.
  • 240.6 this morning. I am so proud of all of us!! I'm sticking around the house today. It's a rainy day in the 60s...perfect day to clean and organize while drinking coffee and blasting my music. My son will be in from CA on Sunday. Cannot wait to see him!!!!! Have a great day everyone!
