Boy I have been resting on the side of the road for 4 days. I think that I have recharged myself and will set off on the quest tomorrow. That Stitch in my right "Butt ock" as Forest Gump would have said, has melted away and healed (hopefully not the Sciatic nerve)... Good thing that the black riders have not found me (unless those are the LBS that have mysteriously stuck to me these last few days HHHMMMMMM)

Its "twilight" and time to step off the road to rest and eat dinner. Pippin hears the Black Rider in the distance.

whew 2.5 miles in the am and I am sweating. The Florida warmth and humidity is baaaaaacccckkkkkkkk ... Good way to lose more water. I am probably lower that what I weighed this morning Oh Yah LOL

ahhhhhhhh logged another 2.5 miles in. Gosh.. getting that much closer to Rivendell. Wonder when I will make it to Farmer Cotton's for some Taters and Turnips LOL (39.85 so far since 3/1)

AAAHHHHHH The wonder of walking with the elves. They who make the black riders turn away. I am going to be safe for awhile until I turn off the path from them in 6 miles. In the meantime I am going to sleep peacefully.

Made it another 2.5 miles at night too.. The sky was very clear and I could see Orion, Taurus, Canus Major, Gemini, Leo coming up on the east and Corvus.. Jupiter is so bright in Taurus... I need to get my telescope out.. (42.15 exercise miles since 3/1 not bad)

OOOHHH Warm and Humid.,. I think that there is a storm on its way (I am hoping that everyone is safe and sound with that nasty storm that is running from Canada down across the MTns Thru Georgia into the Gulf. Oh please be safe) There was a slight wind and the stars are awesome tonight. Did my 2.5 miles walk and trying to stay away from the "Black Riders" Up to 44.65 miles on my trip to Rivendell.... Oh I cannot wait to catch up with the rest of the fellowship who have walked many more miles than me on this journey..... I'm coming....

Ah Feels so good to be walking.... But its scary with those Black Riders out there trying to hunt me down (trucks with people who like to play ping pong with walkers???) I am thinking (since the sun is so hot and the air is so humid) that it just might be a better idea to walk in the darker hours (wearing white and flashing red things etc) so the riders cannot see me and I don't pant as much (LOL and perspire (sweat) as much) LOL

Another 2.5 miles closer to Rivendell Total: 47.15 Almost 50 miles since 3/1. I am trying for 40 miles in April alone.

Oh Oh I forgot to post last night.... Walked 2.5 more exercise miles... yeah... up to 49.85 so close to 50 miles since 3/1 tho I have 100 from 1/6 yeah..... Walking is so good for the head,.. Its amazing what your mind does when it roams along with your feet. Some things would make great inventions... but I forget by the time I get home LOL

Oh well... Onto Farmer Maggotts farm

Well I am getting alittle closer to Rivendell.... yeah and by the time I get there NOONE will recognize me LOL Another 2.5 miles so up to 52.35 in just exercising miles.... I am averaging about 2+ a day just walking at work and around too on top of the exercize miles. Oh... I hope I am walking away my keister. Wouldn't it be great to be as slender as an elf?

I know that walking is so good for your body and mind and I did alot of arguing while I was walking and working out how my friends take me for granted. Maybe by working it out while I am walking I will be happier in front of them HHHMMMM. Sum ting to think about .....

Time to rest under the Laurels and eat a tator (oh rats I can't well maybe a nut for a nut)

Funny being on this adventure with noone else.... Maybe the rest of the Fellowship are way ahead of me ...

Made my 2.5 miles (total trip so far from 3/1 - 54.85) for the 3rd time this week and will walk again in the am before the sun comes out. Feels good to walk 10 miles a week I feel better and my thighs and hips are getting smaller (Thank you GOD!). I was lightning in the distance and hope that the rain comes our way as the front is stalling over us for the next few days.

I am SO SORRY about people in Boston, who were hurt so badly and lost family members and for those in WEST, Texas..... I send my prayers and hope you do find those that are missing, and to those in Illinois, Indiana, MO and the surrounding areas that are flooded out (Des Plaines river - I know I grew up in Northbrook)... I sure do hope that the flood receeds soon before the next rain comes and that all people and animals are safe and sound. HUG your loved ones. Take care all!

Good Evening Thread It is really nice outside. With 3/4 moon and popcorn clouds and a nice breeze... Ahhhhhh "summer breeze, makes me feel fine". Nice walk (tho the summer heat is coming )
I think that I am now past the stockbrook and at Farmer Cottons Farm were he will give me a ride on his pony cart to Crickethollow I think (need to read the web site again)

Ah thread...... When I walk (59.85 since 3/1) ....I am usually trying to think of what I can write to you and make it somewhat whitty....

The night had a milky cloud layer, but the almost full (2 more days) MOON was shining bright in the eastern sky. My path ahead of me was glowing in a silverish light. I made my feet want to glide along the pathway to find the end of the silver light. (made it easier to see too and I did not fall off to the side). I was accompanied by the crickets, bull frogs, an occasional bird and a bark of a dog (and not a Gator I HOPE) that made the walk full of happy noises. All nights like tonight are not a common thing and soon the summer monsoons will cover the evenings.. but while this lasts, I am enjoying the journey (as Mozzy says). I know I should be on Farmer Cotton's Pony cart.. but I am making like an elf and walking the silver thread........

It was a nice warm night last night and the moon was playing hide and go seek with the clouds... so the path was not lit up like a silver thread very often... but when it was it was nice.... Noticed that I don't hear the whistle of the train off in the distance (usually its traveling at the same time) I kinda miss that mournful sound.. I wonder if it is Sequestration Opps did I say that?

Walking with the moon being covered often I was able to walk undetected by the black riders (cars) and I never saw them (always seem to be going in a direction different than me thank goodness) Heard lots of laughter in the wind... wonder if it is the elves singing? (really neighbors)

Oh gosh.. I have fallen asleep and am stuck inside the WILLOW tree at the side of the river.... OH I need to bust thru that crack in the bark and stand up... stretch and GET WALKING AGAIN.... its been 2 1/2 weeks.. YIKES.... I will be here tomorrow I PROMISE myself!!

Back on my journey again after a bout of Time out LAZINESS.... Need to hop to it... so I can make it to Bree before the summer monsoons happen.

Made it 2.5 miles tonight after a month and my legs did not tire and did not hurt. I am actually getting the "popping" feeling in my legs that lets me know that my muscles are expanding and working on the water. I feel good....

Time to rest (just overnight now) under the big Willow Tree....
