  • I did 30 min at Curves Thursday, I havent recorded it here yet. I wanted to go Saturday for my 4xs last week, but I didnt go because I was getting sick so I slept in. I hope I can still make goal this month with skipping that day...I'll just have to kick it in the behind the rest of the month!!

    So...that makes the group total 6035 + 30 = 6065

    I'm just logging the walk with the dogs today. Only 15 minutes, but the good news is the older dog seems to have more stamina again, and maybe we can lengthen our walks!

    Group total ~ 6095 + 15 = 6110 minutes!

  • Howdy Ladies..I did 20 min walking today! It is getting hotter here in Arizona so I have to walk on my first break at work!

    My Goal 180 + 20 = 200 MINUTES!!! 300 to go!!

    Dont know if I told yall but at last fridays meeting I was down another few lbs!! Yea!!

  • Someone needs to smack me I think. Well, I'm not really sure, but it probably wouldn't hurt.

    I 'pulled' my back on Sunday night. I actually felt something go when I bent down to pick something up off the floor. I obviously didn't bend right, although it doesn't take a lot for my back to go out. I have to have regular visits to the chiropractor for maintenance work to make it easier to fix when it does go out.

    Anyway... get to the point Zelma... I have STILL been exercising, and perhaps I should have just rested. I don't really know, because my back doesn't hurt when I exercise, just at other times, but I don't know whether I should have given it a break. It seems a little better today, and I am being good and making today my 'rest' day. Being on holidays, it isn't as important to have Friday as my rest day as I shouldn't be any more tired on Friday than I am today. I have been thinking that I needed a proper rest day anyway, because on the last rest day (last Friday) I still went for a walk (quite brisk) with hubby for an hour. I just kinda had a 'rest' from the equipment at home, but not from exercising. I can 'feel' my leg muscles more than usual at the moment, so I think my body is letting me know it wants a rest. I'm going to listen to it this time.

    So... after that lengthy tale... yesterday I did 60 mins on the treadmill (only at 4.2mph instead of the usual 4.8 with intervals of 5.4) then later in the day I STILL felt as though I wanted to do a little more, so I did 30 mins on the bike. I just feel SO good after exercising and wasn't feeling too bad, back or leg-wise. Oh well, we'll see how I go today. I'm going to TRY to be good.

    Personal Goal... 480 - 90 = 390 mins left of April's goal of 1800

    Group Total... 6130 + 90 = 6220

    Got to the gym again for weights...25 min for me (and I'm at 555 total!)

    Group total ~6220 + 25 = 6245 minutes!

    Zelma - Only you can know what is too much for you. But I second Wyllen - take care of yourself!

    That is what I did today - I took it easy and took care of myself. After the MRI I thought I would be fine, but it actually affected me more than I realized. So to help calm and center me I did my yoga dvd, which is 30 minutes. My new total is now 685.

    The group total is now 6245 + 30 = 6275
  • Today was a gym day, but I woke up so depressed I could not handle getting out of bed till 8:30. No, a broken heart isn't a good enough reason to skip a workout. So, this afternoon I decided to get on my bike tonite, and do the gym tomorrow morning.

    Add 60 minutes biking for me! Yay!!!!

    The group total is now 6275 + 60 = 6335

    That brings my total to 761 minutes. :-)
  • Hi Ladies...today went ok..I gave in and had some candy..I noticed that I felt a little ill afterwards Guess I should have left it alone lol. Well did 20 min walking at lunch today!

    My Goal 200 + 20 = 220

  • Thank you Wyllen and Nancy. I have actually been very good today, with no exercise so far and no plans for doing any. My back and legs feel better, so I'm sure I've done the right thing.

    So, I can't add to the group's total today, but hopefully tomorrow I'll be back on track.

  • Tonight I did 35 minutes on the treadmill using the hill setting at level 2, and then I had a 30 minute session with my personal trainer. That brings my total to 750.

    The group total is now 6355 + 65 = 6420
  • Howdy Ladies...although it was HOT...I did get my butt out there at lunch and did my 20 min walking.

  • I was very good and didn't do anything yesterday. It wasn't at all hard either. I usually get the jitters when I don't exercise, but yesterday it just seemed 'right'. I felt a lot better for it as well. I did my usual 3 things today, but my legs feel really tired, so I'm wondering whether I should have had a couple of days' rest. I'll see how I am tomorrow. I have a LOT of room to move with my April goal, so I'm not worried that I'm not exercising enough. Well... maybe I'll worry if I end up resting TOO much.

    Today I did 30 mins on the treadmill (I even got up to jogging at 6mph for short intervals), 20 mins of strength training (I still don't feel as though I have a lot of strength ) and 30 mins on the bike. I also walked to hubby's work (10 mins) and back again, but don't think I'll count that. I had to stop on the way back to help a young lady who had trouble with her car, so that messed up my amount.

    Personal Goal... 390 - 80 = 310 mins left of April's goal of 1800

    Group Total... 6440 + 80 = 6520
