Hey ladies
It's done and official. Ds ordered his mobile home Saturday morning. 16x82 3bedroom 2 bath. It has 36 cabinets in the kitchen and 8 drawers. It's a very roomy floor plan. We went furniture shopping after that. He needs a washer and dryer and upright freezer. It is unbelievable how much money it takes to start a home.
Dh went out of state this weekend with one of his customers and I spent the weekend with our boys and their girls.
I'm messing around on my diet and vacation is approaching and not a darn lb lost yet. I lost all control this weekend. Today is a new day and a fresh start. That's what I keep saying every Monday. How can I get the motivation that I had when I started last February?
Good Friday and Easter are fast approaching and I'm not ready yet. We have a big crawfish boil at my house on Friday afternoon and we have a barbecue on Easter Sunday with lots of family and some friends join us. I need to get my butt in gear and get ingredients for the dishes I'm preparing.
Im trying to clean patio with no luck. I have 11 huge oak trees in my yard and pollen and blooms are everywhere. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. It's been windy and it blows to my patio.

I don't have time to go back and read post for personals. Right off hand someone asked me where ds was moving. He's going in the pasture behind our house. I know. He's not going far but still my heart is heavy. Bobbi I hope you get the call your not waiting for. Lol. house sold!!!

Just another quick post. Doc said he still thinks my arm pain is bursitis and has agreed PT may be what I need. I need it anyway for my back. So I'm set up to start on the 25th. He says water pills take longer to show results so I'm to keep on as I am with my BP meds. He thinks it will probably come down more. And he froze off several skin lesions...warts, skin tags and various other thingys old ladies get. Afterwards I went shopping at a couple stores and then home tired but not coughing so much now. Hope you all are doing well.

Hi everyone. long day and im pooped,steve apt went well. i saw the mri and can see the ruptured disc in his neck. the dr wants to try a conservative treatment for the next 6 weeks becus of where the rupture is right above his fusion and its a tricky place to fix. so he,s on new meds and pt x2 days a week. then did some banking and shopping. came home for awhile and then back to town to get new meds. just finished watching biggest looser. does anyone else watch this show. i find it very insparational(sp?) the girl that won sure deserved it she worked hard and looked amazing. maryea sry you are still in pain, hope the pt helps. ttfn chickies rosey

Rosey, I LOVE the Biggest Loser! And I was so happy that Danni won! She did work so hard and ended up being the only one on her team fro most of the game. So it was great! And she did it by 1 POUND!!! WHEW!!! I did like Jackson too though. He really worked hard too.

Hi K31 i was impressed with Dani and i wanted her to win. they all looked awesome tho. Im trying a new recipe i saw in a womans day magazine. it looked so good. its irish stew, with beer,onion,carrotts,rutabag,and parsnips,tomatoe paste and thyme. its cooking now. you serve it over mashed potatoes. i'll let you know if its good. steve doesnt like experiments tho so he might not ttfn rosey

its really quiet in here today. the stew i made was different. i think we like reg stew better. the root vegies made it semi sweet savory. its nice to try new things tho. it was such a nice day today that i dragged a chair out side by the front door where there wasnt any snow and sat in the sun for an hr,no jacket and threw balls for sadie. spring is coming,theres some heat in the sun. hope your day was nice too rosey

Good Morning, been busy the last couple of days doing nothing. We have the coldest day since 1965 this morning, 15 below zero with wind chills. We had a blizzard the last couple of days and snow drifts in the yard like we haven't had all winter. Rosey...I'm envying you sitting outside in the sun for an hour and no snow. We love trying new foods but the beer in the Irish stew would be a NoNo for me. For some reason I don't like the taste of beer or wine in my foods, it taints the flavor and not in a good way. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
Mary..I can just see you stomping your foot at DH, all the while eating the ice cream. Take a bite, darn you dh, take a bite, darn you dh, take a bite .
My menu for yesterday: I ate light because of a faux pas in the Carrot Cake with Caramel frosting I made for DH. Like Mary, I ate some. One tiny little piece? NOPE. How about one large piece, then 1/2 another large piece and then cleaning up all the frosting around the edges of the cake pan.

This was from allrecipe.com this morning. I'd leave the optional pine nuts out and not have as many calories in it. You can check the recipe out yourself on that site, it's always good to read the reviews before you make it.

Bobbi - Well dh wasn't home when I found the ice cream and ate it, but it was kinda the idea. Also kind of cutting off my nose to spite my face, don't you think?
He hasn't mentioned the ice cream being gone, so don't know whether he's noticed yet or not and I haven't said a thing.

Well today we had to face the tax thing and boy do we owe big time due to THE house.... $11,152!! We were kinda shocked as I was thinking no more than $3000 but after the initial shock we felt very peaceful about it. God has taken care of us all through this difficult situation and I knew He would continue to do so. By now I have already arranged our budget to accomodate it but will have to take some out of our EF and then start saving it back up to where it was again. We don't do payments and while the tax agent was telling us about that, dh said, no I'd rather just pay it off. I was so happy to hear him say that as I hate payments too. Of course we also had to pay $368 to have the returns done (we opted to do both our state AND AZ just to cover our bases) and we got the Peace of Mind plan where the tax preparer will go to the audit and help us (or she can go without us even) in case of an audit. Did that just cause this was a little tricky, and even she wasn't entirely sure about how to handle it despite her considerable experience. I hated paying to have the forms done as I know I could have done it myself but it would have taken a lot of research and maybe phone calls on my part to make sure I did it right and would have been more stressful. I really didn't want to revisit the situation either. So guess it was worth the price....although I was hoping to learn ways to do better on our regular return but only learned one small thing that probably wasn't too important. Oh well, I'm glad to have them done.

Didn't get to the gym again this morning and didn't get many of my back exercises done even. Hopefully tomorrow I'll do both. It is rare I miss the back exercises. My arm was better today and haven't had much neck or head pain, just a little last night.

Maryea: "The Tax Man" can cause lots of stress - I'm sure you're glad to have that meeting over with - and paying to have the taxes done for you was surely worth the price. It's dealt with now and you can move forward. I received a notice once from the IRS that I owed over 3K in taxes -- I had negotiated a credit card debt down to a smaller amount -- I didn't realize that the amount that was "forgiven" was considered "income" and was taxable. I filed some papers with the IRS claiming it was a hardship to pay and after providing paperwork showing I had absolutely no money in the bank or IRAs and the only income was my disability check which barely pays my bills, they reduced the amount due and I worked out a payment plan -- it's paid off now, thankfully. You're lucky to have a wonderful DH who is supportive - it makes a big difference.

I had a crummy day yesterday....had an appointment for a bone density test scheduled for 10:30. SO went out to warm up the car becuase it was covered with snow and ice -- left the car running and somehow it "automatically" locked. Took him an hour to get it open. As I was driving off to the appointment, I noticed the windshield was cracked -- seems icy windshield and defroster set at 90 degrees doesn't mix -- extreme hot vs. extreme cold = cracked windshield Get to the appointment and women takes me in for the test, as she's reviewing paperwork she asks my weight - she then excuses herself and goes off somewhere ... comes back to tell me I have to go to the hospital for the test because their machine has a 350 weight limit -- I'm 347 so they wouldn't do it. Don't know if I'll bother having it done - I really don't see the need for it. I'll talk to my doctor about it at my next appointment in April.

Good Morning girls...I woke with a 3:30am migraine headache due to much scurrying around in town yesterday. I'll tell you about it after we hear from the bank. No, we didn't sell our house yet but made a bid on one.

Mary...gulp! $11,152? Holy Cow, that has to hurt as much as the $15,000 loan we had to take out to update our septic system. I'm glad you have some peace of mind about it, at least you have the savings to cover it.

MaryGee...I was advised to have a bone density test too but have put it off just like my mamogram. I did make an appointment to have some weird looking moles looked at. Always something.
I'll be back later to post my menu yesterday. I went over due to that same tempting cake only I just ate a small piece this time.
