  • candice1022~ I've cut my calories to 1500 daily. I drink a TON of water and only one diet soda/day. I also work out 25 minutes daily, and stay active while I'm home. My house has never been so clean! Originally I had planned on joining NutriSystem, but I can't afford to shell out that much money at once. Instead I have been doing my own NutriSystem plan,a bowl of cereal and V8 in the AM, a Light Progresso soup with a side of celery, carrots and hot jalapeno/banana peppers for lunch, and a Lean Cuisine for dinner. If I get hungry after dinner then I'll have another bowl of cereal or make a low fat strawberry milkshake. I know the hot peppers are kind of random, but they make my mouth burn, which makes me want more water. I live alone, so it's easy for me to stick with this plan. I know it's not a long term solution, but I did go out for lunch with a friend yesterday and still did great. I also love cooking, so I am slowly trying to incorporate cooked meals into my diet. Really slowly though as I have a problem with portion sizes and eating the soups and lean cuisines are slowly training me as to how much food I really need, vs. how much food I think I need. If you're interested in trying LC or Progresso, I do comment on how I think each one tastes on my blog, which is linked in my sig.

hmm well thats not too much different then what I am doing... i am also on 1500cals and drink 8 glasses of water a day (just started doing this i was drinking 3 glasses) I eat very healthy like no crap at all... I also do 40-45minutes of cardio and strength training daily and take a 2km walk with my son in the afternooon... so all that and chasing around a 7month old who just learned to crawl and cleaning my house daily im not worried bout how much exercise...

This is usually what I eat...
    Breakfast:
12 grain bagel (240cals) with 2tbsp of peanut butter (188 cals) with a 1/2 glass of orange juice (56 cals)

    Lunch:
1 cup of shredded lettuce (8cals) 1/2 cup of chopped cucumbers (8cals) 2 medium slices of tomato chopped (7cals) with 1/2 cup of grilled chicken pieces (121cals) and 1 tbsp of low fat ranch dressing (45cals)
somedays I have a medium baked potato (161cals) with it and somedays I dont depends how full I am.

    Dinner:
1 cup of whole wheat macaroni (260cals) and for the sauce I make it really plain to avoid the sodium intake and sugar
1 medium whole tomato (22cals) and 3oz or 1 serving of lean ground beef. (164cals)
    and I have 1 cup of 2%milk (130cals)

if i get the munchies after dinner more towards bed I have a 1/4 cup of raw carrots (13cals)

all in all at the end of day these are my totals
    grams % daily intake
    Calories: 1423 (95%) GREAT
    Carbs: 184 (98%) GREAT
    Protein: 92 (122%) GREAT
    Fat: 40 (79%) GREAT
    SFat: 11.5 (69%) GREAT
    Cholest 155 (52%) GREAT
    Sodium 915 (61%) GREAT
    Fibre: 21 (83%)
    Sugar: 39 (104%) GREAT
    VitA: 8076 (162%) GREAT
    VitC: 104 (139%) GREAT
    Calcium: 508 (51%)
    Iron: 13 (72%)
    Ptsm: 2920 (62%)

So You can understand why I'm so frustrated that I gained 3lbs over night...
