  • I'm firmly stuck in the 160's. I feel like my body is too comfortable here and doesn't want to budge. I've increased the intensity of my workouts and I'm watching my calories pretty closely. I don't know what else to do, I'm eating between 1300-1400 calories a day and feel like if I cut calories I will always be hungry.
  • Sorry to hear some of you girls are stuck! Have any of you tried eating more? I know it's a scary idea, but if you're working out and are hungry, you probably need more calories. Of course, get those calories from healthy foods. Try it for a week if your'e at your wit's end and see what happens.

I've been ok so far. I'm going to Toronto this weekend for a convention but I don't think there will be many vegan meal options (at the convention, not in the city of Toronto ;-) ) so I'm bringing my own food. lol

I can't seem to stop weighing myself in between official weigh in days, and it's pretty bad for my motivation levels. When I see weight fluctuations, more often than not its disheartening, not motivational! NEED TO PUT THE SCALE AWAY!! lol

Started smoking again :-( Not smoking as much as I was which is a bonus, but it still sucks. I'll try again soon.

Hope you all are having a great, OP day!
  • So I kind of blew it today. I was ok until 6, when tutoring was over, I came down with the students and was offered chicken Alfredo and a breadstick. Of course I ate it. Then I came home. Ugh. Dad picked up two little Caesars pizzas. I had the two smallest pieces I could find. So I came in at about 1600 calories today.

Welp. Tomorrow is a new day I suppose. Drink in water like a mofo to help with carbs and sodium.
  • I MADE IT!!!!! finally i made it to the 170's i never though i'd finally get here what with falling off the wagon and all lol i saw 178.6 on the scale this morning but i'm not chnageing my sig till i see 177! and by god i will be out of this thread by the end of may lol! oh and only 5 pounds till im officialy not obese! i also plan to post my very first picture once i leave this thread!
  • Hi everyone, i am baaaaack!!!!!! Italia was gorgeous (as we all knew it would be). I got back this morning and am going to give myself til tomorrow before weighing in and assessing dmage done. Ate a lot. Drnk wine with dinner every day. Worked out a total of zero times. Drank a max of 6 glasses of water a dy. All very embarassing and inexcusable and i should have known better. Yet, i feel good. Like, great. Like rested and balanced and, i dont know why, but thinner than when i left! The scale will tell the truth tomorrow so today i will drink lots of water, eat clean, try to hit the gym and get over the jetlag.

Missed u guys, and am so impressed with all the successes!
  • ugggg 179.8 this morning 3/21 but i know most of it is becuase i'm so bloated i haven't used the bathroom in 3 days! exlax here i come lol really i have to lay off the glutin its just so hard!
  • 167.3 here, again. like day 6 in a row. With how I ate over the weekend, I will take it, but it's still frustrating to not see the scale move at all. Hoping tomorrow something changes!
  • Avie!!! So glad to have you back!!!! Fill us in!!!
  • Hey!! Thanks for the welcome!! So i am down just over 2 lbs (to 171.6) woohoo!!! It is also just the end of tom so hopefully will have a small whoosh in the next few days.

Today was good. Eating (so far) is perfect and i worked out this morning.

I really need a new goal.. I feel like i am not working towards anything. As much as i want to drop lbs and get to goal, i just operate better with a small, short term goal. Any thoughts??
  • Hey all. I'm new to the thread, but I really enjoyed the support from these forums last summer.

So I've spent the past 4 weeks cutting my calories and slowly getting back into a fitness routine, and yet the scale has only dropped 4lbs which is increasingly frustrating. I graduate with my MA in May and was really hoping that I wouldn't look like my thesis took over my life (ie a solid 20lbs heavier than I was when I started my degree 2 years ago) when I walk across that stage. I'd like to be back at my pre-school weight of 156 in time for graduation in 8 weeks, but at this point I'd really settle for 159.9.
  • KScrooge, a lb a week is healthy, but I understand that would be discouraging. Maybe start taking measurements as well, since you are working out. You may be losing inches.

I need to take my own advice. I'm at 167.3...AGAIN. A week now. I did start the C25k program last night.
  • After a week of watching the scale rise and drop and be not-quite-sure what's going on (it's an analog scale, so I use it more loosely to make sure it's a downward trend), I've come out of the furor 3 pounds lighter since my last update. 162 and counting! I'm ALMOST to the Big Goal of taking that BMI down under 25%!

NOTE: It's really been 3 lbs over two weeks. Scale was stuck around 165 for a week, then TOM happened. Please don't think I'm losing 3 lbs a week. I'll leave that to my dad on the IP diet. Heh.

(What I'm doing: low-carb, with eggs and chicken sausage every morning and plenty of veggies with fish, chicken, and red meat. Occasional red pepper hummus. Snacking on cashews and almonds.)
  • Back up to 169 the past 2 days! My TOM appeared sunday, but hasn't made a full appearance since then. This is my first TOM during my weight loss. Is this just water weight, or what? And will it come off once it's over? Just don't want to see the scale go back up to the 170s
  • Hey girls!

I'm back from vacation & I had a great time! Ate my way through California & loved every fatty bite! Weighed in at 171.6 today, & hoping to see 169 tomorrow morning. I'm happy to be back OP - eating junk is only fun for so long.
  • Still hovering at 168, have been for a week and half hopefully I'll go back down to 166!
