COURTNEY ~ well,
HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY, in advance. Glad everything is going well for you right now; and how nice that you have 3 parties/dinners to go to. Yes, you can try and just choose the healthiest, but yummiest things they have to keep on track.
ABOUT THE PIE ~ you could do a healthier crumb crust and make the pie smaller (the right size for two: about 6 or 7") and have only one crust on the bottom to lessen the calories even more. You can use part sweetener to lessen the sugar too; every bit helps. I just make the fillings and have them alone or with a bit of light whipped topping; it's like pie but without a crust (you save 100's and 100's of starch and fat calories this way).
MCMAMMA ~ welcome back; glad you decided to come back and join us here again.
SUGA ~ I agree with
COURTNEY, you should try an elliptical out at a gym before buying, if you can; and buying a good one, even if it costs a bit more. OR, maybe the store would let you try one out before buying too.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY too!
WOW LAURIE ~ sounds like you make lots of stuff from scratch; I do too, but it's been a while since I made any homemade bread. I have been thinking of trying it again becuz the prices here are atrocious for one good loaf of whole grain bread.
GARY ~ you would have to have a Rhubarb patch or know someone that does, to give you some. We left a good one behind and hope to have another one in the future on our lot. My SM told me to use the Rhubarb that they have on their lot; and there was some on the old farm too, and it was gonna go to waste if we didn't use some of it. You are very helpful just like my DH is ... he loves running errands and such; I think he just loves driving around in the car and the social aspect of it all, but that is A-OK with me (at least I don't have to do it).
BOOTSIE ~ oh yah, by all means, try it. It is very easy to grow -- it prefers to be grown along side a building (a shed or garage or greenhouse; loves the east side), and does best there. It is very low in calories too, and has other health benefits as well.
Well, we picked up some more new wood for DH this morning, so he can finish up that floor; he hopes to have it done soon. Just doing a bit at a time, but we'll get there. I am taking progress pictures throughout the process so we can look back later on, and marvel at it all!
Hope you all have a great week; take good care of yourselves too!
As always, ^PRAYERS^ ascending for you and yours ...
