Our deep freeze broke!! I managed to save everything, but it won't all fit in the tiny refrigerator freezer. We will be eating well the next few days :-) Nothing off program for me, but perhaps a bit more than needed. I had a tuna steak for dinner. Another tomorrow. I have a turkey thawing in the frig for later in the week. No way would that fit in the tiny freezer.

O I hate when that happens, it happened to us last year when we where out on Vac, the ice box went out then when we moved everything that did not go bad to the freezer it broke to.... Keep you head up and why to stay OP.. That would be a easy stresser to jump off OP....

Pbolton ... be careful with the tuna -- I don't think the steaks are on program (too much fat), but you can have the canned in water tuna. However, when your freezer breaks and you have to eat what you have -- I'm sure it's fine -- I don't think any of us gained our weight eating too much tuna!

I was wondering where some people were -- Jewlie, Mirihawk, Jeannie, Angieroo, 3MM, exquisit, and others I have missed.

The freezer in our frig went out a couple of years ago (before we had the deep freeze). It wasn't even a year old. As is typical, none of the service co. that could do warranty service could come for days!! I had to get our usual appliance folks to come & pay them. Cheaper than losing the food though.

This freezer is just barely over a year old. We wondered when we got it if it would last as it is in the garage. I'm gonna call tomorrow, but I'm sure it will cost nearly as much to fix it as it cost. Just not worth it. We can manage without it really since my daughter has moved out & son is gone most of the time.

I think I live on canned tuna. I don't care to cook too much. I've been trying to do the Metaquick, but I think I'll have to ditch that for a bit. I had a gallon of egg whites in the freezer. Looks like I'll be having eggs for breakfast FOREVER <LOL>

I suspect the tuna steaks would count in the '2 times per week' category. I'm cutting back on my olive oil & flax a bit hoping that will even it out some.

We keep our freezer in the garage too. Ours is about 4-5 years old and never a problem. It's an upright GE. I think it's warranteed for 3 years and even has a food loss clause (they will pay you up to $100. for food that goes bad). You should check your warrantee if it's only a year old.

I am going to look for the paperwork tomorrow morning, but I doubt if it will be covered. It was a cheapo chest freezer from Home Depot.

I'm really just glad I found it before all the food rotted. Aside from the $$, that would have been NASTY!

I just checked the tuna. It is yellowfin so that should be ok. Per ounce: Calories: 31; Fat: .3g; Protein: 6.6g. Bluefin on the other hand has tons of fat.

You just don't have a lot of weight to lose, and you possibly weren't retaining a lot of water to begin with. As a rule, the more you have to lose, the more quickly it comes off in the beginning. Don't fall into the trap of comparing your weight loss to everyone else's - we all lose at different rates. And remember that early plateau - happens in the first month or so.

As far as whether you're doing something wrong - if you're being honest in your food journal they'll let you know about your slip-ups when they go over your food sheets. Be sure you're drinking all your water. If you aren't exercising, start getting in some type of exercise. Make sure you're only having one creamy/day. And don't stress over whether someone else is losing faster than you - stress makes you retain water!
