  • I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth or anything...though this plateau sometimes makes me wish I would! I am still stuck between 304 and 305, where I have been since Easter. I have tried increasing calories, increasing exercise, decreasing calories. I don't know. I ordered The New Rules of Lifting for Women, since I started really working out at the gym. I am hoping maybe this will shed some light on my situation. I can still make it into the 2's before Mother's Day if I get this straightened out soon!!! Wish me luck!

**Irish...you look amazing in the new pic!! Love the blonde!**
  • Blue, I'm sorry to hear about you being stuck. I've been having similar results with the scale since March, and feel the same, like I could cross that hundred pound marker if I could just figure out how to get things moving again! I know, shouldn't let it be about the numbers, but it's a big milestone, and I can't help it! Sorry, no answers, just saying, "me too!"
  • wow i havent been here in a while.I am still losing but i dont think i will make my motherdays goal. Its ok though i will keep trying. I am still losing but been under alot of stress lately. I have been on plan and exercisng . Tommorow is my weigh in day but TOM appeared finally.LOL
  • ladies i've lost 2 more pounds
    feeling great

    164 start
    158 today (6 pounds lost)
    151 goal
  • Blue- hugs to you! You're doing the right thing, just sticking it out. I hope the book will answer questions. Stay strong!

On the challenge front- I've lost a few more! I've been putting in some serious dog walking time and that seems to kick it up a notch. I had slowed down a bit after getting the flu (naturally) but my system seems back on track now. The worst part was the lack of energy, now I'm my normal hyper self. I know if I eat 100% clean and exercise every night that the goal may be in sight for me- or close. I have present incentive, if I make the Mother's Day goal, my husband is going to get me one of those retro Schwinn bikes with the 1950's chassis. I would love that to ride up to the office or run errands in style!
  • Hi,I'm new to this calorie count thing so I thought this mini goal would help me get started.
Since I'm starting a little late my goal is 5# by Mothers Day.
  • Lost another pound- I'm at 175 now, which puts me at 9/10 lbs lost for Mother's Day and just one left to go. Very doable!

I hope you're all doing well.
  • Yeah and yeah Layri! So you got your parasol I presume?
    Welcome beliter!
  • I'm ordering the parasol today... I can't wait to get it.
  • Scales not moving except up a little, sometimes I hate being a female! Stupid TOM!
  • Just saying hi to you all as I'm new here. I've got a bit to lose but have been stuck for so long I don't know if I can do it anymore but I'm trying. Am drinking 8 glasses of water a day and walking at least a half hour daily. I'm hoping to get a little bit off this week and take that first step. How do you get one of those ticker tapes at the bottom - how long do I have to wait as a newbie to get one?

Thanks and hope you all can make it a good day for yourself. You deserve that.

    Breeze
  • Tropical! The tickers have a time and number of posts requirement, I think it's a month, but can't remember how many posts. I'm sure someone will chime in with the correct info.

We're just back from our 5-day stint at the cottage. The snow is gone, except in the woods, so I'm active without effort when we're up there. This morning's weigh-in showed two more pounds gone, so I am one away from my Mother's Day Goal.

I've joined the TBL Just Beachy -- GO BLUE! -- for a weight loss challenge, but I think my goal for the next mini-challenge here will be for exercise, 'cause I've been slouching on that big-time when we're here in the city.

From what I've read here, it looks like several people are closing in on their mini-challenge goals. I saw someone say something about 'admitting' defeat on not achieving their challenge goal. I personally don't see that you were 'defeated': you succeeded in losing weight on the challenge, so you're that much further ahead! Good for you!

    Have a great day, everyone!
  • Great job on being so close Daffy and Layri! I'm giving it my best shot and hope to get as close in 2 weeks! Should we start thinking about what our next challenge will be for everyone rocking the scales ahead of schedule?

    Works for me, FB.

This is my first mini-goal/challenge, but I know the last one was Easter, which was about 7 weeks between the two. July 1 is Canada Day, and Friday, July 4 is Independence Day, and that is nearly 7 weeks from Mother's Day, so the timing would be about right. I can live with the American-themed identifier given how outnumbered we Canucks are.
  • How about whomever makes goal first picks between the two dates and then starts the challenge? That would be fair!
