Ive tried to go back on IP on and off over the past year and a half and just couldnt successfully do it. After months of being very overweight and incredibly uncomfortable Ive decided to do it again! Im 2 weeks in and Ive lost 10lbs, I havent cheated and I feel great about it. This week I went to 3 parties, brought my own foods and didnt touch the cake. It was hard at first but by the 3rd party, I sat at the table with everyone while they ate and I felt just fine.
This internal strength to resist is something I have never felt with food. I have always felt like a slave to sugary/fatty foods and Ive never been able to say no. I owe my wonderful bf (I started dating him while I was off IP and not on the forum) for being so supportive!

It is wonderful when you have a supportive partner! My hubby can eat healthy carbs without a problem but is in his mid - 40's now and the weight doesn't stay off as well as ot used to, so we are both eatingn healthier, etc...makes a big difference when tons of processed snacks / foods aren't being made or brought in the house!Congrats on the willpower! 3 parties! That is impressive
just remember though at the end of the day, human willpower has limits! Best to be prepared- and it sounds like you have been!

Love Jimmy Moore - been following him and Mark Sisson (Marks Daily Apple) for a couple years. I know LC / paleo-ish is the most healthy way for ME to eat and I've seen the results. The problem for me has been discipline / guidelines. Atkins / general LC is too wide open and the results I've already seen in a little over 3 weeks of following IP protocol is enough to make me to realize that.

Hopefully you can get things moving
and maybe relieve some of your stress. Good luck!
