My name is Kim and I'm from Newfoundland, Canada. I am a 35 year old mother to a 15 year old son, and wife to none.......YET!!! Still waiting for him to pop the question. I have been on Weight Watchers about.....A MILLION times in my life and hoping this will be the last time. I have lost 20 pounds so far and would like to lose another...29 really but will be happy with 20.
I just plan to follow Weight Watchers and exercise as much as possible. When I fall I'll just get back up and dust myself off.
My name is Rosario. I am 24 years old. I live in a suburb outside Atlanta but am originally from Los Angeles. I live with my Bf. Don't have kids or pets. I can't wait to start school again. But since it is so expensive, I don't know when that will be. My plan is to pursue a career in accounting. I am a Administrative assistant.
Oh yeah, and I am ready to lose this weight once and for all.
my name is kat, i am from nj. i am 47, married with 1 stepdaughter.
i follow the flex program with ww, and have been stuck at the same weight for the past month, so this challenge has come along at the right time for me!
it is my first challange, so I am a little uncertain of what to expect. My goals are to obviously loose the weight, but i really would like to refocus on getting back to the gym, working out and regaining the strength I have lost over the past 9 months.
I am not officially participating in this with you guys (although I would LOVE to if there is room!) but I figured I would introduce myself anyways in hopes that I can join in with you! After all, I would only be one week behind!
My name is Evette and I am a 27 year old mother of 3. I grew up small (110-125lbs) and maintained my weight until my 3rd child. I then got up to 185. Two years ago, through the inspiration of Biggest Loser, I lost 45lbs. I have gained back 30 of it! I am not back on track and once again, a devoted viewer of Biggest Loser!!!!
I just want to take a moment and ask everyone to keep the guy from the Red Team whos son is ill (sorry, I am HORRIBLE with names) in mind. This has to be hard for him!
Hello everyone! My name is Erin. I live in AZ. I am proud to be on the BLUE team!!! I am following the WW Flex plan (points) and I'm going to step up my exercise...just like they do on BL! Hello better late then neger. I am a mm of three girls. I live in Minnesota. I will be 35 in March. i started my journey Sept of 2005. I have lost 60 pounds so far from portion control calorie conting., Lots and lots of exercise. .. I am looking for motivation to stay on my path. Love to cheer and hear all the ups and downs of every one.
I have struggled all my life with weight. Just want to set a good example for my three girls and teach them as much as I can before they have to fend for themselves.
My name is Sarah. I live in Western Massachusetts, I'm 35 years old, and 5'8". I have been chubby every since I was a teenager, and have gone up and down in weight over the years, lowest being 156 in 2001 with Weight Watchers. I've tried many diets too (and had temporary success on many), and I can vouch that losing weight is easy compared to maintaining! But for me now, this is about making permanent changes in my eating and exercise, not just getting to goal for one day
I have decided on Atkins since I feel the most stable on it; my blood sugar evens out, I don't get mad cravings, and my binge-eating and drinking urges are also really reduced. Yes, I like ze red wine a bit too much! And mmmm, pizza!
Now at my heaviest ever, 231 this month, I NEED to get the fat off!
I found out this year that I have 'early degenerative disks' in my lower back, and getting around is becoming tougher and I'm getting lazy. Yuck! If this is what 35 looks like, I need to get a jump on my life before I get morbidly obese and thoroughly inactive! My TBL goal is 206, and my final goal is 140.
I'm single, have a BA in Archaeology from UMass Amherst, I work as a graphic artist (ha! not involved in dirt in any way), I have a very skinny black cat named Sabrina who is a crazy loveable streak of energy... my hobbies include reading, drawing/painting (currently taking an oil painting class), dance, travel (I'm looking into traveling to Tuscany at my goal!), and soon, EXERCISE! I'm getting a very nice treadmill from a friend in a few weeks, and I am planning on pairing that up with a TV/Netflix membership to burn off some major calories while I indulge my movie obsession!
I love the idea of a Team Challenge! I believe this will work better for me than going it alone.
To all of us, GOOD LUCK! May we all be BIG LOSERS!

Hi, I am 34 years old and live in Northern VA. Losing weight has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I did lose 129 pounds before but put back on about 90 pounds. So here I am again. I am a huge Biggest Loser fan. Everyone knows not to call during the show and I usually get on my treadmill during it. I am rooting for the blue team, LOVE Bob, on the show but on here I'm part of the Red team...so go RED, go!!!
Ok, so you know how you set mini-goals and then an ultimate? Why do we do that? So that we are not discouraged when we are still so much over weight. Everyone has an idea of how much they would like to weigh or a size that they would like to be. However, I am a shorty and I always felt I would be happy at 125-130lbs. Before my daughter I was 127 (after two kids) and before my boys I was about 110. At 110 I felt I was too skinny and had lost by womanly parts (I happen to love curves) so I figured 125-130 while keeping in mind that my body type has changed since my last child so go with the flow.
Anyhow, I just went on to dabble around to see how much I would need to weigh in order to be classified as "normal" or "healthy" and I typed in weight at 130 and the **** said I was overweight!!!!!!!!!!!! I was literally speechless!!! I typed in 125 and it put me on the border of "normal" and healthy!!!!!
It is so hard not to get discouraged as it is but then I feel like all of these stupid numbers don't make it any easier! How about .. when you can run 3 miles and not be out of breath and take in less or at the 2000 calorie mark .. your fine! Why does everything always boil down to a number that seems impossible!!!
Sorry to vent here but you guys have been so supportive thus far!
hi evie, im a newbie to the WBL challenge anyway i have also gone around looking at various BMI sites and such and for my height it says about 130lbs. i weighed more than that when i was 17 and i was THIN. i was in fitness things at school and always rated at below avg for body fat, i was on track teams (long distance running, etc) and according to those sites i was slightly overweight because i was 137lbs. so i dont really put a lot of stock into them, i just look at them as a general guide.
i think as we get older things change too. i have a friend that is a bit shorter than me, her shoulders and hips are a lot thinner than mine, etc... and SHE weighs about 135 but looks terribly skinny (yet the BMI would prob put her at overweight or high-normal). i cant imagine what i would look like if i got down to that. i dont think it 'suits' my body type. i know a lot of sites say that there is no such thing as being 'big boned' but there are certainly diff body types. my friend and i measured our shoulder spans a few years ago and mine are 3 inches more across than her's. my whole back is wider, my legs are longer, my chest is *ahem* bigger, and so on. for both of us to be the same weight, i think i would look like a skeleton so i wont even dream of getting down to that. i put my goal at 170 for now but i wont really know til i get there. i might find 150 is cool but that puts me in the 'overweight' range. 170 puts me in the 'obese' range. i have a photo of my mom who is 3 inches shorter than me and she was 170 in it, close to the same age i am now.. and she looks great! a bit pudgy here and there, but not 'fat'.
again, ill see what happens when my weight goes down, but im certainly not going to follow the BMIs i have checked. everyone is different and if you get to a spot where you feel really good, feel great in clothes and not worrying about what you look like, then i think thats more important. i also keep in mind that i weighed about 15-20lbs more than most of my friends in school but i could wear their clothes. it reminds me that numbers arent everything i should be looking at! GOOD LUCK
