Hi everyone!

I started sb on 11/27 and the first day was by far much harder than yesterday and today, so far. I am definately one of those who can't throw eggs in the stomach first thing in the morning. I have some breakfast cheesecakes in the oven right now and can't wait to try them for breakfast. I put them in individual custard cups instead of springform pan. I am planning on making taco bake tonight for supper. I am checking the recipie boards all the time for sb recipies. I also don't care for fish very much. If anyone finds a good one let me know. Today is day three and I hopped on the scales and was down 3 lbs. Yippee! Anyway, one of the things I did right off the back was throw out alot of my bad foods I had around. I don't want any temptations to be in the house. Anyway, everyone stay strong, and have a great day.

Cool

I didn't do so when on my second day, usually starting SB is much easier. I did well through 5pm, and then the Christmas sweets started calling. I'm suprised because usually my sugar cravings stop after I start SB. I had some Diet Green Tea with Splenda, I wonder if that started the cravings? Has anyone had that experience with Splenda?

Default Gained Weight

Hello everyone-

Well I started back on Phase 1 on Monday, I weighed myself today and I gained a pound. I think it's water weight because my rings are tight today...but still it's frustrating. I had turkey bacon and tomato/motz salad last night for dinner...I think it was too much sodium.

I think I'm eating too many cheese cake cupcakes, too. Yesterday I had four of them. But today I finished them, back to eggs and string cheese.
Hopefully that will work.

Why are beans so important? Ruth always suggests them....I can't stand any beans that are too mushy, so I stick to green beans. Just wondering if they have a huge benefit worth getting over my mushy food phobia for...

Thanks girls!
Michele

Legumes are important because of the fiber, Sheila. Kidney beans and chick peas are my favourites. I aim for 20-30 grams of fiber per day for health reasons (history of colon cancer) and just can';t get that amount in without eating legumes. Legumes are also slow to digest so keep you full and without cravings.
By the way, my Porties love legumes!

Smile Just getting going...

I started SBD on 11/28 too! Just starting the second week of phase 1 and so far, I am impressed. I lost 4 lbs in 1 week. Cravings are gone... I am feeling good about myself.

I have been trying to follow the proposed menu in the book and have enjoyed many of the new recipes. One thing I am sick of though is eggs every morning. I am going to check out some of the recipes posted here. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to the recipe list. I think it's going to be a livesaver!

Good luck to all of you!
