Morning to you all,
Just read some of yesterdays posts,

Chinky-I now have new reason to wash my underwear with my socks, I wish I could rub my crotch with my foot, I am only too happy to be able to get my foot up enough to get my sock on

Bups- I think we all suffer from SADS, It helps me to go to the tanning beds.

Well last night I put the first coat of paint on the front room, today second coat and paint the entry, Maybe a session at the tanning beds is in store for me

Question-where do you all get your tickers from?

Eating has been a little crazy for me, so I have kind of decided to wait until I go back to work next month to get on the wagon

DS family visited kind of yesterday, middle grandson is very sick with cold and flu, he had to go to hospital for an I.V. for fluids. Poor baby, they are too cute.
Well all for now must go paint,
Love taz

Thanks for the pep-talk, Lucky!

Cottage, what a great day you have planned! : We had the same weather pattern, but we got it overnight on Monday. It is FRASSING FREEZING out there!!! (to borrow Ruth's word)

Soon2Be, I love your sassy attitude! Your coworker is obviously jealous of your willpower...I think you are going to be FAB before you know it!!!

Bamie, I've missed the daily too many times, I'm afraid...what are you getting the ultrasound done for? that all is well.

Bups, why don't you talk with your doctor? They might be able to prescribe a SAD lamp for you...it might be covered by insurance. (check out this cool test: https://www.apollohealth.com/apps/ci...ss_survey.html ) However, what you're describing also sounds like sleep apnea. It can be mild enough that you don't really notice for years, but eventually, it just catches up with you and you are exhausted no matter how much you sleep. Sleep apnea is when your body keeps you from breathing when you sleep (usually something in your throat area constricts your throat...from tonsils, to your soft palate, etc.), and your body wakes you up so you breathe. This can happen over and over and over again all night long and thus you never get any REM sleep and are exhausted. If you snore, you are more likely to have sleep apnea. Also, overweight people are more likely to have it, since our fat puts more weight on our throat when we sleep. I know I'm not explaining this well...but it's worth talking over with your doctor. You can either do a sleep test at home or go to a sleep clinic and be measured there. They can find out if you are having apnea during your sleep and how often. If you do, you can use a CPAP machine to help you sleep. So I don't bore anyone else with more info here, you can PM me if you want. Sleep apnea runs in my family...my mom uses a CPAP, and I opted to have surgery for mine. I can't tell you how much better we both feel!

LC, I'm going to change my ticker too. I'm hoping that my rise is due to TOM, but I know it also has something to do with my having one of Barb's sinfully good muffins each night.

Me:
I'm so sorry for the chickies I've missed while it's taken me to write this...hello to all of you who pecked in after me!

I'm having trouble not eating after dessert. Tonight I'm going to have to do something to keep myself from eating...I think I'll make a cup of tea and ask my DH not to let me eat. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I've still got that terrible paper to get started on. I have a choir rehearsal tonight after Pilates, so I'm going to make a (hopefully) quick and easy butternut squash soup and have an Amy's frozen pizza with it. DH is going to play cards at the club. Hopefully I can get my last set of articles read in the meantime and start on my notes. Too much to do!

Have a great day, chickies! : Stay warm...

It comes in a carrying case so you can even take them with you when you walk to do exercises at certain intervals. I got the instructional DVD with it in the hopes that I can get my husband (not likely) or son (very likely) to do some of them with me. I plan to use this on the days that I'm not able to make it to the gym. I'll just do however many cards I have time for.
Barb, you are such an inspiration. Thank you!!! I love that sometimes you mess up (that makes me feel like messing up doesn't mean I'll never make it), but the way you take this all so seriously and have fun with it too is very inspiring!

What you mentioned reminded me of these circuits they often have at parks in CA. I wonder if they have them in TX? They are these wooden "jungle gym" looking things that they place every so often on walking paths. Each one has a posted instruction sign that tells you what exercises you can do on it. I hear they are great fun to do with your kids...some even have instructions for kids and then instructions for adults.

Taz, you can add the ticker to your signature. Just click on the "Quick Links" drop down link at the top of this page, then click on "Edit Signature". When you get to the page, click on the sample signature. Follow the instructions, then copy the code (read carefully!) and paste it into your signature. Save, and voila!

Tazcat - LOL. I'll post a SNORK today that I think is hysterical...

I signed on this morning at 9am PST and still 20 posts or so! I actually got into work early because I was so jazzed from going to the taxman yesterday that I couldn't sleep. I got WAY more than I expected. Alas, it'll all go to pay bills I've already racked up! P

Hiya Chicks!

Well, it's day 3 of another P1 restart! This is the day that I usually feel the worst but so far I feel alright. I am a little headachey and tired but I know it'll all go away soon!

I tried the Chicken Mole from the SBD cookbook last night. Let me just recommend to NOT cook that . It really wasn't very good. I ended up eating some of the chicken after I scraped the sauce off and then making some zucchini puffs to make sure I got my veggies in. DH took a bite and spit it back out. He got up and said he'd be right back. He left and came back with a big cheeseburger and fries from Carls Jr.

The cabinet guy came last night for all the measurements. Oy, can that guy talk!!!! He was there for a good 2-2.5 hours! That's the only thing that drives me crazy about him. DH and I both tried to not talk too much but he still can talk and talk and talk!!! He'll have our plans drawn up by Friday and will have a time schedule for us! WOO! I can't wait to get this part of the remodel done!

I have to go get a few things done (and it's snack time)! Be back in a bit....

Hello to everyone! Hope everyone is doing well today! Yesterday was my first day back on south beach and I did pretty good. I even got up the motivation to work out. I've got to tell ya once I got going it felt great! I was aiming to do at least 25 min. and I ended up do 55. I also managed to drink my 5 liters of water yesterday too. I'm going to do my first weigh in on Sat. and hopefully will have some improvement. Okay, thanks for all the support and have a great day!

Take care, Sarah

Taz cat - I'm just dying! Between you and Glen Beck this morning on the radio - I've been laughing since 9AM. It has really brightened my day - thanks to both of you.

You guys have motivated me. First let me say that I'm ashamed to have been whining (I warned ya'all) about only losing 3 pounds - when Hunnybee is excited to have lost 1.4! I guess my perspective has been off - thanks for reminding me what is really important - that the scale is going down not up! So for the motivation part - I want to be below 190 when I leave for Florida on March 30. That is 3 weeks and 5 pound so I think I can do it.

You guys are the best - And no I haven't been smoking anything.

Just popping in to say hi and let you all know I am still around. Working way too many hours per week but hired someone so that will back off soon. Off today to buy a dress for my niece's wedding and look at new cars, mine is going bad on me.

Everybody have a great day on the beach and stay away from the boardwalk.

I have seen those wooden circuit things somewhere but I don't think it was around here. Maybe it was when I lived in Florida. I think park budgets have been cut too much around here. Oh, well, we do have nice nature trails/walking paths so I can't complain.

They had those circuit things at a park in Lauderhill, FL when I lived there as a kid. Don't know if it's there anymore.
