Default i'm dizzy. Is this normal?

3rd day of Phase One, going well, i think. but everytime i stand up from sitting/lying down, i get dizzy and light-headed.
Is this normal?
i think i am eating enough, because i haven't been hungry, but i couldn't even finish a half-hour workout today because i thought i would pass out.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Even if you aren't hungry, you should make sure to have your snacks and meals. I eat about 6 times a day. I would venture a guess that you are not eating enough and if you are, maybe not the right things. Are you getting lots of vegetables? Try to balance your meals and snacks as much as possible. Eat frequently and drink your water! Good luck

Sounds like your blood sugar is going too low, so like ozziesgirl said - Be sure to eat meals and snacks cause you need to keep your blood sugar level. If it gets really bad please have something with a few more carbs in it, like a V-8, to ensure that you don't pass out or fall.

Thanks!
i think the V-8 might be a good idea, becuase i really feel like i am eating all the time with fat/protien and veggies each time i eat.
perhaps i really didn't realize pre-SBD just how much of my food intake came from carbs and refined sugar!?
But good tips, i appreciate it!

If you are worried about sticking strictly with the plan then maybe skip the V-8 for breakfast and have it at another time, like when you are feeling particularly lethargic or before a workout. But an extra V-8 each day shouldn't make too much of a difference in the plan.

Dr. A recommends not doing strenuous exercise the first 2 weeks and if you get dizzy he says you need to eat more veggies.

I'm suggesting you add some good carbs. Legumes are perfectly all right on Phase I and will help the problem. Some roasted chickpeas, lentil soup or bean salad are all good carbs that will help stabilize your BGL.

I feel the same way. I'm on Day 2. Thanks for all the responses.

Peliroja, great name!

I am assuming that by now you feel better, but in case anyone else reads this thread, feeling dizzy, sick, grumpy, and/or out of sorts is very common during the first three to five days of Phase 1. Your body is detoxing from sugar which causes these reactions. A good reminder of what a hold sugar had on you! Try to keep drinking lots of water and do not exercise until you feel better. Lots of us did not exercise until we got to Phase 2 because our bodies were not up to it, so please don't feel that you need to push yourself when you are feeling awful.

Hope you are doing much better, Peliroja!
