Default My cat's gone weird(er)!!!

Lately, my female cat is doing something really strange.

I have two cats, one litter box, and scoop it once a day. It could probably use scooping twice a day, but that just doesn't happen. Anyway, lately my female cat (Mop) has taken to dashing for the litter box just as soon as I take the cover off to scoop, and jumping into it to pee. Just a little bit. She 'goes' normally the rest of the time, so far as I can tell. I have no idea why she jumps in whenever I go to scoop. I have to wait for her to do her business and decide to leave to finish the chore.

This has only been the past few days. Maybe she's upset I've been going on business trips more, once a weekish. Their litter box goes unscooped 1-2 nights in a row when that happens. Or she wants attention? Or maybe she's just crazy. Cats are kind of weird.

Mine love to jump in after I scoop it, which I understand, wanting to use a nice clean one. I've never seen one want to jump in before it's cleaned and with no top. My two (Winnie and Tiddles) like their privacy.

Cats are weird...

My girl Lex has decidely canine traits - she adores playing fetch and will come for me when I go jogging or for a walk down the street (until I notice and have to put her inside!)

I love her to bits but I will never understand her lol.

My cat used to jump in after I scooped, for the fresh litter. It's just recently that she's taken to jumping in WHILE I scoop.

Now I have to ninja scoop, to try to catch her off guard.
