AWWW!! I love hedgehogs. I seriously considered getting one, but I got freaked out by some of the websites I saw saying how much upkeep they need and how expensive they were. They are SOOO adorable though. We had one in our biology class in high school, and we'd handle him all the time. Definitely not as prickly as you would think. It's more like holding a hair brush with stiff bristles.
