cheryl...i live north of atlanta and about 1 hr from the "true" mountains...but theres a small mountain (elevation of 1800 ft) right down the road from my house. Its a really cool place that is acutally a civil war momument..its was a large battle site. Its great...beautiful view of atlanta (and on a clear day you can see stone mt) when you get to the top. Make a great hike and a great view...here's a link of the place and a link to some pics...great views. love the place

I'm new to this, but I would like to join in. I'm getting ready to take my yorkie out for a walk. I have a lot to lose and she has about 4 lbs to lose. I know that doesn't seem like much, but when you should weight 5 lbs, 4 extra lbs is obese. I will walk three nights a week, weather permitting, and probably on the weekend for longer walks. My daughter has a dog that is living with us now and she can take the longer walks.

I want to be accountable to something.

I was home from work early so the girls and I did 4 miles for the 3FC 5K warm-up!

Did 1 mile last night with the mutt. If it doesn't rain tonight...i'll do a 60 min walk (i think its 4-5 miles)

Walked with the Yorkie - Molly, for about 3/4 mile. I'm really out of shape and so is she. We are starting slowly but will work up to maybe 3 miles. I have to remember that she is older and small. I can always carry her.

You know GATORGAL if you do that...it qualifies for my 5K ...you can get in it at the top of this page ;)

I took the girls out for 3 today...it was an easy sniffing one for them...lazy today!

well it rained tonight..but i may get in on your 5k. I was thinking about signing up..however i work tomorrow and sunday is my day off and haven't decided what to do yet. But i'll post if i do (:

Walked my two this evening, a little over 2 miles.

I took my two goldens out for 3 miles after church this morning.

My dogs (Beorn and Gracie) and I did EZ's 5K this afternoon, walking. :)

i did a mile last night and completed the 5k today taking my dog up the mountain....she's worn out (:

just did a mile with the mutt. I think she liked it. I was sore from my hr workout this am. But i know the mutt loved it (:

After work I took the dogs out for 2 miles, it was a little bit hot and they seemed to be a bit lazy....I did finish with 2 on the treadmill!

A fast and furious 5K in the cooler weather...a 2 poop bag special!
