Smile Pregnant!

HEllo Everyone! I just found out today that I am pregnant so that is going to put a glitch in my weight loss, but I want to keep up with my new healthy life style so that after I have the baby I can get right back on track!
It will be my 2nd child and it is about a year or two earlier then what my husband and I were thinking. God must have a different plan for us!

Anybody have creative ideas on how to tell my husband?
Also...I will need eating/Exercise help along the way. I am fairly new here and was mostly posting on the July 4th Challenge board so please say hi. I would love the support!

PS I am going to have to change my signature!!

I always liked Rebecca's way of springing the news to Jessie on Full House. She had a special "theme night" dinner. Baby carrots, baby back ribs and some other "baby" item.

A pair of baby booties on a silver covered platter - part of a special dinner of course!

Congrats on the baby! Let me tell you it flies by. My 4th baby will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and it seems like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant. I have a friend who did something unique to tell her DH. She had a hot dog bun with her pregnancy test in it and placed it on a pan and in the oven literally. When he came home, she asked him if there was a bun in the oven. She said she forgot if she put it in there or not. So he looked in there and saw the PG test hanging out. I think that is creative!

I admit I am a bit amazed that you told US before you told HIM! Shouldn't he be first????? Just a thought.

Congratulations, though, on your big news!!! Yay for you.

Shanon: I probably told my DF in the most unromantic/lack of creative way ever... I dry heaved when I went to bed and he was wondering what was wrong, so I told him (though his reaction was great... we weren't planning for kids at that point, but he was so happy)... so I am sure any way you tell him will be better than the way I did:P

Anyway congrats!! For exercise I walk, do prenatal yoga and prenatal aquafit (water aerobics).. At this point in the pg it feels WONDERFUL to be in the water!!

Cheers!

Ali

Heh. I have bad luck realizing I'm pregnant, so two out of three times Robert has known before I have.

One of the neatest things I saw (and I don't think there's anything odd about asking for ideas on the 'Net, I've seen it quite a few times) was a mama who made her youngest son a onesie that said "BIG BROTHER" on it and just waited to see how long it took her husband to notice.

Oh, & congrats! Esther took us by surprise; we now often talk about how God knew we needed her when we still didn't have a clue.

We did a similar thing with announcing our soon to be son! I was about 6 weeks along when my daughter's birthday was...so we waited to tell anyone in the family, and had her wear a "big sister" t-shirt to her birthday party.

I always knew RIGHT AWAY when I was pregnant. This time...I knew about 24 hours after the conception. I literally woke up in the middle of the night dry heaving in the bathroom...and was like "oh....NO!!!!!!!!!!!!".

*You have to understand, at the time my husband was only home for a couple days each month...and he was at his new job across the state while I stayed in our old place with the kids-with our house on the market, him living in a hotel room at the time...while we were trying to sell one house and buy another, and move across the state. This was also a "birth control" baby-we had a boy and a girl, and we were not planning on having any more.*

I literally took a pg test about twice a week for 2-3 weeks, until I was finally far enough along for it to show a positive result on the test stick...which happened on Christmas.

Well..I decided to buy some pink and blue flowers and I try to arrange them nicely in a vase ( I am not a florist for sure) then we had strawberries and chocolate cupcakes (Dont know why those foods) and I wrote him a little poem about our family of three becoming four.....He read it a couple of times then looked at me and said "You are pregnant?" and I said YEP. HE looked at our 13 month old and said "Oh my goodness," but was super happy. Then I opened up a bottle of sparkling grape juice and said "Cheers" and we talked about how neat it is going to be and how crazy! IT went really well. I am telling my mom and sister on Monday over lunch and I am just going to put a bib on our son that says "I'm going to be a big brother" and wait till they notice!
OH...and I told my husband the same night that I found out.

Congratulations!! I had to ask my hubby to read my pregnancy test because I just did not believe it, I am sure it was a surprise for him mainly because it was about 4 in the morning when I woke him up to read it.
