Default Weekly weigh in .... March 28 - April 3

Would anyone here be interested in posting our weight here.. weekly?
We all have different goals. Some are gaining due to pregnancy, some are maintaining, and some are trying to lose.

Me? Trying to lose.. but I need to find a plan. I was thinking about joining WW but can see myself spending $44 a month. That's a lot of money. Plus, I don't like the meetings - they are really over crowded in my area.

I stayed the same weight this week from last week.

What eating plan are all of you on? When I was pregnant I really tried to watch what I ate - but sometimes it was a free for all!!

Sounds like a good idea. I used to do WW, and I went to Curves briefly, right before i got PG with Peter. Both are great. If you really wanted, you could go to WW and get the materials, then do it on your own.

If you want, you could post your loss/gain, as opposed to weight, for anyone that might not be ready to post actual weight.

Good idea Lauren - you don't have to post your weight - just your loss/gain

The idea of even paying $25 for the materials seems like a lot. I think I'll check ebay (I live on there!!)

Heck I'm not ashamed to say I weighed in at 303.5 this morning after eating breakfast so I still feel I'm doing well at maintaining

I'm down 1 lb from last week. I was on weight watchers before pg. I bought a kit off of e-bay and did it on my own. With all the support on 3FC, who needs meetings! I'm not on weight watchers now. I tried increasing the points for maintaning during pg, but I'm still losing (why couldn't this happen before!) My OB doesn't want me to try to lose weight now of course and would like to see me gain 10 lbs overall. We shall see.

Dana great idea. I like the idea of a weekly weigh in but its just weird to post a loss that you are mixed up about on a typical weight loss board lol.

I was surprised this am by 236.5 down from 239 last Monday. I decided to weigh daily so these dips and humps wouldn't leave me wondering. Yesterday I was 238 so I'm losing but very slowly. I'm going to up my cals by another 100. I'm counting calories so going to 1600. I'm eating 7 servings of fruit (1-2) and vegetables (5-6) and eating 90 gr of protein. I have a scale and weigh everything. I don't think I could do points because I'd always be underestimating portions. Or do you still weigh everything?

Kimberlie you are doing great!

Donna don't be surprised if you lose a few more. Without eating junk not much appealed to me. Even while eating whatever I would only gain 15 in total at this weight. When I was thinner I wouldn't lose and I'd gain about 50.

While pregnant with my last baby I could barely eat I was so sick all through. I actually lost over 10 lbs while pregnant. Now that I have him I can't seem to stop eating! I think I am the only nursing mother ever to gain weight while nursing. And it is no wonder, I am up with him all night long and out of boredom and need to stay awake I have polished off boxes of Cheez-Its, pints of Ben & Jerry's, and lots and lots of Little Debbie snack cakes. I had Gestational Diabetes (controlled with diet thank god) but the diabetic counselor told me that if I don't get my post pregnancy weight under control I will be at extremely high risk for Type 2 diabetes in the next 7 years.

Before I got pregnant I lost 35 lbs on the Atkins Diet and I loved it. But my doctor will not give his blessing for Atkins as long as I am nursing and I am not giving that up just to convenience myself. I had lost a lot of weight on Weight Watchers a few years ago so I am thinking about starting that again as the new program looks easier than ever. Like a lot of you I just have trouble finding time and money to get started.

I did take the first baby steps yesterday and bought a bag of baby carrots to munch on while up with the baby. And next week I start back to work so hopefully it will benefit me as far as diet goes.

Hi Randy, I can tell you from experience that going back to work is great for the diet!! This is my second week back, and I haven't weighed in or anything, but just being on more of a schedule has made a difference. I"m not sitting home randomly munching out of boredom or something!

Randy you aren't alone! Nursing makes me hungry. After delivery I was close to my start weight but then I would gain about 13 lbs in 6 mos. Last time I was on a very low fat diet, walking 3 hours a week and pumping 50 oz of milk a day and I still gained. Sticking to my tracker after the birth will be a challenge for me.

Thank you guys! It is nice to hear that I am not alone in this and it is also nice to finally be a part of a message board where everyone is in the same boat as I am weight wise. A lot of boards are mainly filled with people wanting to lose 10-25 lbs. I wish! I am still hoping that returning to work will be the magic solution for me. I barely have time to go to the bathroom there.

So to answer the earlier post, yes a weekly weigh in here would be great as we are under special circumstances.
