Question Anyone have United Health Care for insurance?

I was just wondering who some of your doctors were when you were pregnant? I am looking for a new one because my doctor is very flaky and isn't really giving a lot of info., and this is my first pregnancy so I need all I can get!! Thanks!

Look for a certified nurse midwife. I know of at least one in Milwaukee, and I bet there are plenty. CNMs provide woman-centered, compassionate care, and, yes, deliver babies in hospitals (not knocking homebirth--that is a viable option too). Congrats to you and best wishes for the pregnancy.

I'll second the midwife vote. Part of the woman-centered care tends to be answering your questions. Midwives also--usually--won't push you into unnecessary tests, and your danger of a c-section will be less with one as your attendant as well. I'll also put in my vote for homebirth, even with your first. Research shows homebirth to be just as safe as hospital birth, and I can say from experience (although I wound up transferring) that looking forward to birthing at home made this last pregnancy much calmer for me.

It's great that you're looking for a new doctor who can provide the support and information you need during your first pregnancy. While I don't have specific recommendations for doctors, it might be a good idea to explore reviews and recommendations from others in your area. Also, if you have any concerns about health insurance during pregnancy, you could consider checking out Globe Life Insurance reviews to see if they offer any coverage that aligns with your needs. Wishing you a healthy and smooth pregnancy journey!
