Any Nursers Out There?

Are there any fellow nursing momma's out there right now?

Just curious since this area used to be pretty active but has slowed down since having my baby. Would love to talk to someone going through the same things! :D

Wow I love seeing so many people nursing, and also those nursing toddlers! That is so wonderful!!

Our baby is 11 weeks old Tuesday, and I am nursing him and pumping while at work two days a week. My goal is to nurse him for at least one year, we have had a few bumps along the way, including him needing at least 2-4oz of supplemental formula per day, but we are working to rid the need of the formula. I tend to produce juuuust enough to nurse him successfully, but have a harder time pumping a proper amount for him to have while he is with my husband when I work those two days, which is why he ends up with a bottle or two of formula.

I drink Mother's milk tea along with PLENTY of water, continued my prenatal vitamin, and take Fenugreek. I may just not be one of those women who can produce a lot with a pump, but he is usually satisfied when nursing!

Any tips from any of you ladies who seem to be veterans to nursing your little babies?

You are doing great to working and nursing! :) Blessed thistle with fenugreek worked well for me when my supply needed a boost along with my second child.

I'm nursing a toddler too. Never saw that happening but very happy with how it all worked out.

I'm nursing an almost 11 month old right now. She's starting to self wean, only nursing about 4-5 times a day.

Funsize I can't imagine nursing that often still!

I'm nursing an almost 10 month old who has issues eating solids (lip & tongue tie issues) so she's pretty much exclusively breastfed still.

I admire you for pumping while working. It takes a lot of work! I pumped while working with my first but my body does not respond to pumps very well at all. Thankfully I stay at home most days this time around or can take baby with me.

When I went back to work her feeds dropped to 3 feeds a day and one at night, the days i'm working and 4 during the day and 1 ish at night the days I'm at home.
Has pretty much kept at that level since she was 6 months old. Not showing any signs of weaning yet.
I think I'd like to get her to 2yrs now.

This is my third child. I nursed my first 2 to about 23/21 months. This one is still going strong at 2 years old and she doesn't show any signs of wanting to wean. I never saw myself nursing past 2 either but here we are. :) She typically nurses in the morning, before and after nap, and before bed. Sometimes she wants to nurse more often than that but I just tell her not right now and she is ok with it.

My only tip is that it seems to get MUCH easier at about 5 or 6 months and if you can just stick it out til then, the nursing relationship usually becomes smoother if there are any challenges.

I'm nursing my lil one who is 6 months old. We just started introducing solids but she still nurses every 2-3 hours. I have had a really hard time trying to get the excess weight off from my pregnancy, I shouldn't have listened to everyone who told me not to worry and eat what I want because it will all fall off when I nurse. HA!

I'm nursing - my baby was born 2 days ago. I've already lost the 15lbs I put on during the pregnancy, so am back to my pre-pregnancy weight already.

I've never managed to lose weight whilst nursing so this should be a nice challenge for me! LOL Looking forward to chatting to you ladies and sharing our weightloss journeys!

I'm nursing my 9 month old part time, so it'll be interesting to see if I actually lose weight or not. I did a Whole30 back in June, when I was still nursing full time and I lost 1/2 pound and 1 inch off of my body. Before I got pregnant with my daughter I completed one and lost 20 pounds, so needless to say, I spent July drowning in cake.
