Default Manicures and pedicures ?

Is it safe to do this while you're pregnant? DH wanted to treat me to this for this weekend but I'm not sure if its safe with all those chemical smells in the air. Is it safe for the baby?

I was told to avoid getting fake nails while I was prego, but I did get pedicures all of the time.

I'm not sure what's available where you live, but there are natural nail salons and spas where you can safely get a sanitarty and fume free Manu/pedi.

I wouldn't get fake nails, never liked the idea. I would only have them paint mine.
So the chemical smells are safe?

I found this great article on different pregnancy myths:

http://www.parents.com/pregnancy/my-...afe-whats-not/

Here's the specifics on mani/pedis:

Get a station closest to the door to help with the smell if you think it will bother you
