cd33 no af...help

  • #4 is 10 1/2 months old. My cycles have always been 28 days. Since his birth they haven't normalized. the last 2 months they've been 30 days. So (dumb me) banking on what "Fertility friends" calendar said, I went by that and stopped doing my temps. There was one time dh and I messed up but when I checked the calendar is said we were two days in the clear. Well now I'm getting nervous.
Yesterday is was 75 degrees and it felt more like 90, I changed into a shirt and shorts. I couldn't sleep with any covers on me because it was just too darn hot. Then what's weird is that yesterday and today I had pink spotting (when I wiped). Both times I was excited telling dh "She's coming, yay I'm not pregnant." Well nothings happened. I've had cramping on and off. Oh and in the past 2 days (even though my carbs are sometimes below 20 and my calories are under 1,300) I gained 2 lbs.
If I am I will be very happy but I would prefer if it happened next year.
Please tell me this is due to being on a diet and exercise. Or that I'm now eating more healthy by buying organic foods. Please say that eating healthy can throw off your cycle.
  • You've got 4 kids already and you're asking us?

No, I'm sorry--that was a lame attempt at humor and I know you're not laughing.

Try not to panic and/or stress, because as you know, stress can definately delay Anutie's visit regardless of diet/exercise. I hope things work out as you want them to.
  • LOL you'd think I would figure this out by now but I'm nervous.
I'm mad at myself for not taking control on making sure we were safe. But then I wouldn't mind if I was, just that my weight loss would be postponed.
What can I do to make sure I don't gain a whole lot of weight while pregnant (if I am)?
  • When I had my calories way down and was exercising heavily, my cycle did go all over the place. TOTALLY irregular, everywhere from 21 to 35 days. Really crazy making, especially as at 42 I have to use "alternate methods" for birth control. We do "slip" occasionally, so if I'm late I stress. I thought it was early menopause, until I upped my calories and have been lazy about working out (OK, I'm taking a break and practicing for maintenance), and I'm back at 27-28 days.

Anyway, if I'm more than 2 days later than I think I should be, I take a test. Removes the stress factor. I usually start the next day . . .
  • I took a month break from exercising but started walking again last week. But it was only 2 days out of the week. I'm heading out to get a couple tests.
  • Let us know, Rachel!

I didn't start my period until DS was almost 10 months old and it's late already. I'm not worried (we're clear unless something went wrong with contraception...), but I know how nerve wracking it can be.

I'm glad to hear that if you are pg you'll be happy! Just take it a day at a time and see what happens.
  • it came out BFN which is fine. Though even before I took the test I know that my body tends not to test positive till two weeks later. So even though I feel relieved I still have that lingering feeling of "But what if I am?"
If nothing's happened, I'll test next week and let y'all know if it was a BFP
  • We had one slip up last month. Yeah.

Good luck with the outcome, be it BFN or BFP!
  • Hehe... now that I'm thinking about it we had one slip up last month, too. I guess we'll see. I'm looking forward to going back on the pill, I'm just not mature enough for condoms.
  • Hmm, I was on the pill when #3 came along.
  • Don't say things like that! I was on the pill for 6 years before I had DS, it seems to work for me. Of course, I never missed a single one in all that time. I took them at the same time every day, was really faithful about it.
