Default Hi, I'm new here

Hello My name is Tracy and I have Insulin Resistance and PCOS. I bought the "Insulin Resistance Diet" book and have been exercising and eating right since 6/24. (My doctor advised me to lose weight and recommended "food pairing" so the book has been very informative.) So far I've lost 15 pounds and I'm joining Curves tomorrow.

What I am blown away by is that I gained weight so quickly. In two months I had gained 19 pounds. To me that was outrageous. I know people with IR/PCOS do tend to gain weight easier. I guess my weekly if not daily Starbucks Venti Mochas had something to do with it too.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Oh, I did suffer fertility problems but did have children on my own. I have son (from a previous marriage when I was 20) and a daughter who's almost 6 and a son who's almost 4.

haha! Venti mochas... yeah, I noticed a huge difference once I took those out of my diet!!!!

Congrats on the weight loss. I finally started losing weight once my doc put me on the correct drugs for this. Now I need to tackle the hair thinning issue!

congrats...... I have PCOS too. It took 3 yrs. to have my daughter. I lost 30 pounds and got preggo on my own, right before we were gonna try drugs. I just had my daughter a month ago, and I lost the weight the first time on weight watchers, and I am now on it again. It works for me, but you cont. to do what works for you.

Thanks girls! I'm still doing well. Have lost another 5 lbs. I haven't joined Curves yet (may check into it later this week along with another gym) but I've been doing my treadmill 60 minutes per day along with some exercises using my resistance bands.
