I am so excited about finding this forum today. I was just diagnosed with PCOS even though I thought I have had it for at least 8 years. I felt to fat to actually go to a doctor and have all the test done (including a pap, which I had not done in 17 years because of weight) but I just couldnt stand to have any of the symptoms any more. I go back to the doctor tomorrow to start glucophage and after reading all the post I cant wait! I have a wondeful female doctor and just want to tell anyone that is putting off seeing a doctor, dont be stupid like I was....GO!

Isn't it horrible when you feel you can't go to the doctor because of the weight? I've been there too, and know that feeling! I totally agree with your advice to just don't worry about the weight issue and see a doctor when you need to.

So now you're on your way, you have a good doctor & the gluc will hopefully work well for you. There's some good threads here on the topic to check out!
