How frustrating! In my experience w/PCOS, I have found that there seems to be changes in hormone levels, depending what's going on with your body (i.e. weight loss/gain, stress levels, etc...). Her Dr. (or you or your daughter) may want to do the bloodwork again in 3 mths....
At one point in time, for me, my cortisol level was very low, at another, very high. The Dr. thought I might have Cushings Syndrome(thank God, the next blood test confirmed I didn't!)
As far as fertility, many women w/PCOS have babies with or without fertility drugs. I have had 2 kids without fertility drugs
