Talking I am BACK! Plus some news =\

Wow! So many new people.....

Hey everyone!!

I am BACK! For of course many reasons so here we go:

1) My fiancée & I finally set a wedding date. It's a couple of years away but I am on journey to lose weight & look like a beautiful bride on my wedding day =D

2) So, June 18th I had my left ovary removed. My first surgery EVER! =,( I had my follow up appointment today and have another week off from work (thank goodness) because I am still in pain. I met with the surgeon today and said my right ovary is HEALTHY and I CAN indeed have children (Whew!). For the past 2 weeks I went into this horrible depression. I mean who wouldn't when you get an ovary taken out and it takes you forever to get pregnant on your own as is. But he said I can! I wanted to jump up and hug him!! They double checked my right one the day I went into the hospital. It's healthy!! So what happened was my ovary was twisted 3 times. They went in and untwisted it but there was no blood going to it so they removed it.

3) We are back ON the TTC train but I really want to lose weight to increase the chances.

So I fell off the wagon HARD but I am back to get down to onederland. I may slip but I plan to get back on track ASAP. We have MAJOR baby fever & are ready to be parents.

How is everyone else doing?! What did I miss?

<3 Mally

SMS T0rn - =,) Thank You!!!!! Sitting in the OBGYN lobby made it even worse and THEN I saw a girl I knew in high school and she was pregnant with her SECOND child! I almost started crying right then and there so the news that I CAN have kids when most of my life I felt like I couldn't made things SOO much better. They don't do that great of an examination when you do a PAPP so I guess this entire experience was a blessing in disguise. (And ai am not that super religious either)

SMS - There have been women out there that have heard they CANNOT have children and BAM! they are pregnant. Girl, keep your head up high because I'm sure something positive will happen in your life too

T0RN - Thank you! I want to wow my friends and family with a huge weight loss. I don't think anyone has ever seen me skinny. My goal is to get down a good amount of weight but still have my curves. I like them =)

I will keep everyone updated!

I just wanted to let you know that I had one of my ovaries removed a few years ago and then 4 months later I got pregnant and now have a healthy little girl. After my surgery I really, really cracked down on my weight loss and I think between the surgery and weight loss it was what allowed me to get pregnant.

Then I gained way too much during my pregnancy so I'm here working on my weight again and I have cysts on my one remaining ovary again so I'm working on that. But I'm really hoping through diet/exercise and staying on the pill that my cysts will go away and we'll be able to have another baby.

Take it easy on yourself. It took me a good month to recovery but I took that time to really focus on my eating habits. Good luck!!!!

Mostly ok -- dad's got dementia (probably alzheimer type) and Mom and I are coping with it so I'm in and out of the boards sporadically. I do try to check the main PCOS thread daily tho. See you there!

Runningfromfat - Thank you for the encouraging words! The doctor was only going to give me 2 weeks off but I requested more time off so I go back July 13th. I had to eat less than half since it hurt to be full and let me tell you that really helped. Now my body is used to it. So now I'm also doing the same. Watching what I eat and once I go back to work I will be heading to the gym. I walk a lot now with my dog once it cools down outside lol

Moving to 1derland - WOW!!! Does she have PCOS also??

Astrophe - I know what you are going through. Just take it a day at a time =)

Yes, that's very similar to what happened to me too. I don't think I was even able to eat something like chocolate until about a month after the surgery so I really had to make some major changes in my eating habits and it was great because after a month of that you get used to it and it's easier to stick with. I'm glad you were able to get the extra time off too! I really needed a lot of rest of my surgery, it really is no joke!

Good luck with your healing!
