Question re: Carbs
I know to keep carbs at 40% or below, but how many actual grams is too much?
Today I had 47 grams of carbs, which equated to 14.8% of my overall nutrition. (Of course, the huge negative was that 63.78% of my overall was fat. *barf*) Is that too low? I will be starting Metformin, so I'm concerned about going too low on my carbs.
Can anyone give me and idea of how many grams they aim to stay under a day?
Also, I'm trying to do a low-calorie (ish... staying under 1400) and low-carb lifestyle. Is that possible? My calorie goal is based on my activity level and weight, so I'm terrified of going above it. At the same time, I know carb control is more important right now. My doctor recommended focusing on low carb but keeping an eye on the fats, too.
