Last Wednesday, I decided to go on low carb since I heard people had alot of success on it. I went to the market and bought veggies and chicken. Just when i was about to start, the un-thinkable happened... My grandma passed away from kidney and liver failure. It devastated me. I'm not emotional, so i tend to eat my emotions. It's a trait I just found out about. My family bought TONS and TONS of fatty foods for the repass, and of course, I ate it. Now today, i took my weight and found out i'm 298!! I am so broken. I'm darn near about to cry. I have an appointment with my nuitrionist and Endo next thursday. This time it's personal!!! I NEED to lose weight! I can't be this fat! I'm only 16 And with that, I was wondering if someone could be my fitness partner?~ I want to be able to go and fit smaller sizes and be able to go to concerts without feeling self-concious of my weight. It pains me so much. And i know it'll be hard(er), since i have Pcos... But I know I'll win this battle. So wish me luck my fun pcosers' and happy losing
But you are not defeated. It sounds as though you have made the decision to pick yourself up and start again. That's all we can do. You can't change the past, but you can change your future!
i have pcos too, and you WILL lose weight doing low carb, just do low fat low carb, meaning try to eat lean meats and low fat cheese. i have struggled too, and you are so young that you will lose it rather well. just please do it now and do not wait till you are like me and have 2 kids and about to hit 30. the older you get the harder it is. i am so sorry about your grand mother. i am an emotional eater too, so now i eat pickles, cucumbers, or things like that when i want to eat all the time. YOU CAN DO THIS!

You can do this!!! My recommendation is not to have an all-or-nothing mentality. Start tweaking, idk take out soda first (an example). Usually i f you haven't been doing any kind of food control prior you will lose at first without too many efforts (I know the PCOS slows it down).
Anyway, so maybe be learning how to cook healthy food you can drop the first chunk of weight and then you keep on tweaking from there? That's how I've done it. Also I see the process like a wave, ups and downs, the important thing is to come back stronger and smarter each time and minimize the downs (both frequency and length ).
You're doing the right things for yourself now. You're going to a nutritionist, you'll come up with a food plan, and you want to start exercising.
Do a little something extra healthy each day, and the weight will come off. Plus with the benefits of exercise you'll feel better as it does eventually melt away =) Keep at it

I hope so I am pretty much banking on the fact that I am young. Hopefully that would make it alittle more easier;D

That's what I'll do^^ And I cook (My mom started college, so I am the second best cook in the house My dad can't cook if his life depended on it) But yeah, I'll surely get to itXD

I've actually been to the nutritonist before, but I never really took her information seriously. I mean, I knew it was good, but... I guess I wasn't paying attention^^ I have to really pay attention this time

In a word, Yes.... this comes with a "but", though.
If you meant "Will walking and Kinect be enough exercise?", then yes! Whatever activity you want to do is enough. Especially as you build it into a habit. Once it's a habit for you, then depending on how much you're doing you can build it up to more time or keep the same time add a little intensity. This doesn't have to be until down the road after you've gotten used to doing activity that you find fun or manageable =)
BUT - Without reducing your food intake in some manner, exercise alone is not likely to help you shed as much weight. In fact, some people who exercise without watching their food intake get hungrier (from doing more physical work) and end up eating more. Thus "canceling out" the weight loss from exercise. That doesn't, however, cancel out the benefits of exercising. The benefits of more movement alone are fantastic which is why exercise is recommended for most anyone who is physically healthy to do so. It's just that exercise alone is not the only thing the body needs to drop excess weight.
Ye olde "Eat less. Move more." phrase comes to mind.
