Default Generic vs. Glucophage

I think I posted under the wrong thread.

Does anyone who uses glucophage think there is a difference between the generic and brand.

I would like to here from anyone who may have an opinion on this.

All advice will be appreciated. Thanks so much.

There is no difference. Glucophage and Met are the same. However, only Glucophage offers a time released formula called GlucophageXR. XR is way better then regular.

Mercy, will they pay for name brand if there is no generic available? I agree with HS, the extended release is much better.
If that is an option, you might want to discuss it with your doctor.
