Default Birth Control Suggestions?

I am getting on them for the first time in my life. I got the suggestion of Orth Trycyclin LO...I'm extremely concerned about weight gain. So any ideas/thoughts? Thanks!

As a PCOS-er, I was only able to lose weight once I went ON birth control- Desogen. I switched to Nuva Ring and loved it, but have been off BCP for almost a year and I'm gaining weight again

I started out on Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo, and was on it for years. I loved it, but they came out with the generic version and that caused harsh acne for me, and I am not one to have acne at all really. I was switched to Desogen and it literally made me feel like I was going insane. Paranoid, the works. It was bad. I was then switched to the generic form of Yasmin, which they suggested because of the PCOS and I have had no issues on it. I think it is important to realize that there are going to be horrors for different individuals for everything. Just the way it is, but by trial and error you will find one that works for you

I do not do well on Tri formulas.

I'm on Ortho-Cyclen right now and have done the generic Sprintec.

I was also on mini pill when DD was infant.

In the past I've also had Ovcon-35 and Nordette.

The mix differs in each though. Talk to your doc about it and what your needs may be.

I'm pretty sure its going to have to be a trial and error thing. Hopefully it doesn't take to much error though! Thanks for all the thoughts.
