I haven't been officially diagnosed with PCOS, but I do have quite a lot of the symptoms. I have always had a period (except when under extreme stress), and sometimes it's in regular 28-day cycles, and sometimes it stretches to 35-day cycles.
I had real difficulty conceiving, but successfully managed to have two sons after years of trying. I didn't fully ovulate every month. Once I stopped wanting to have more children, I stopped tracking my cycles. So now, in my late 40s, I'm still having a period, but it's sporadic in it's timing as well as duration and flow.
As for hair, I've always had a lot of it on my head, and a lot in all the wrong places too. But I have no more hair from my knees down. It just stopped growing. I don't believe it is genetically possible for Greek girls like me with PCOS to have problems with
a lack of hair. Although, there was that time when I sported a head full of snakes and my ex wouldn't look at me...
