Default acanthosis nigricans (brown spots) worse after diet and metformin???

I have never had the brown spots (acanthosis nigricans) anywhere on my body except a small patch on my back. Never at the base of my neck, or anywhere else. These spots are a result of the insulin resistance. Now, however, after LOSING 30 LBS, EATING NO SUGAR, LOW CARB, and being on METFORMIN, I am DEVELOPING THEM ON MY NECK!! What is this?? I am definitely calling my endo, but I was just wondering if this is at all possible? What is going on in my body?

Well I've never heard of this happening... I have a way of looking at things - it might not be the best way, but my thoughts are think of how much worse it could have been had you not been on the meds! Let me know what your Dr says!
