We have a walgreens LOL ... Hmmm I hope walmart has the thing your talking about. I will go check tonite after the VMA awards. Our walmart out here is 24 hours. And then put Noxema on? Hmmm ...

witchyonadiet 09-09-2007 09:31 PM

OUCHIE with the Noxzema - it has menthol I think - at least it used to - I would use aloe vera gel if it were me.

Here is a WalMart link that shows some epilators _ may not all be in store but they should have some.

Aloe vera gel? Gotcha! Yea that thing I posted said to use baby oil with aloe. Here at home we have Baby Magic soothing creamy baby oil with natural aloe ... is that about the same thing? I havent shaved today (eeek!) but I have been applying this stuff on me all day. I just dread tomorrow and the rest of the week when I do have to go shave because it will just make the irritation worse. Or when I go out tonite I have to shave because my hair grows out over night. :( but hey I will go check out the neet stuff and see if that works ... any recommendations on shaving gels?

Nicoyaangel 09-09-2007 09:41 PM

OH WOW! They are expensive. How much do you think the neet one was? lol cause at this rate I have to wait until payday which is Friday *sigh*

witchyonadiet 09-09-2007 10:09 PM

Hmmm - didn't notice the amount - but I know CVS has an epilator for $ 20. so maybe you can find a less expensive model. If you have a Walgreens you could call them ?????

witchyonadiet 09-09-2007 10:19 PM

RATS !!!!!! It may have been VEET !!!! There are so many of those damn brands and they all sound alike.

Nicoyaangel 09-09-2007 10:27 PM

HAHA ... Ive heard of Veet .. I just want this hair to go away for ever. That is my goal. When I weighed less I never had this facial hair thing. So, I am hoping that once I lose the weight it will all go away. I have hair everywhere, stomach, back, buttocks, chest omg! its horrible :( I just want it to go away

witchyonadiet 09-09-2007 10:35 PM

Well getting the weight under control will help - unfortunately once those damn follicles become active I think they stay that way. I am in menopause (just found out probably due to premature ovarian failure - as if I don't have enough failures) and I have noticed a lot of the excess hair in other places is going away.

Nicoyaangel 09-09-2007 10:43 PM

So even if I lose the weight the hair on my face wont go away? Greeeeeat! My fear is that I will never be able to have children ... I really hope that never happens.

Are you on any meds ? Have you been officially diagnosed with PCOS ?? You should seriously check out a website - soulcysters.com. It is totally about this syndrome and has TONS of info. Trying to conceive wasn't on my radar and now it seems it was a good thing. There are MANY women who have PCOS who do successfully conceive so don't get upset about that just yet. BUT - you do need to treat the PCOS to make it possible.

Nicoyaangel 09-09-2007 10:52 PM

Yea, two different dr. said I have PCOS. But again, I cant afford the medicine. So, I havent been able to treat it.

witchyonadiet 09-09-2007 11:05 PM

Losing weight is the best thing you can do. There are some homeopathic things you can do fairly inexpensively.

Nicoyaangel 09-09-2007 11:13 PM

I hate PCOS ... I always sit here and ask myself why me? My sister does not have ANY facial hair and she is super thin! So why is it that the outcast of the family had to get this? LOL I wont get into why I am an outcast cause thats another story in itself but I feel that thanks to PCOS I have depression and also because of many things that happened to me growing up. And then I get this. ... Sheeeeesh what is next? :(
