And suddenly I have this in my head:

"Don't you know, yeah, yeah
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know, don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are"

Congrats ShootingStar!!! So happy for you! Isn't is awesome when pounds melt away!

And...what part of NV? I used to, eons ago, live in good ol' Reno.

Good news! My bloodwork is going in the right direction sugar-wise. The doctor said just eight weeks in is too soon to really tell, that in three months when we check again there should be a world of difference. But in that eight weeks my fasting was down to 130 (it had been in 200s) and my other number was normal. So, not off any meds yet, but I'll get there, as this is long-term for me. More good news is my triglycerides were normal, have been as high as 400 in the past, she says that is all watching the sugar and carbs. And my blood pressure is PERFECT.

So, I'm always hoping for more: getting off the meds, losing more weight than I have, FBS lower. But for today, I'm going to be happy with this 21 lbs. in 8 weeks (Lost another lb. last week, YAY) as I feel it's a solid achievement and I'm ever moving in the right direction. Yesterday 3 people mentioned they could really tell I was losing, what am I doing, etc. And so it begins! The good part, wearing smaller clothes, having my clothes be too big instead of tight, feeling better when I wake up because my sugar is not so high.

On Sunday I went with the kids and my DGD to the ZOO. Lots of walking. I kept up, But I was glad when it was over. It was hot and sweaty and I was tired of walking but I kept up and it was worth it to watch DGD's joy, waving bye-bye to the elephants, giraffes and goats. GOOD DAY! One I would have passed on in the past.

zoesmom Thanks for the recipe. I am looking forward to making it.

Glad your plateau didn't last too long. I am still stuck, but hanging in. My body really, really likes 142.

Shootingstar and congrats on the loss.

Nimble Well, just look at you go! I am happy you went to the zoo with your granddaughter. So much fun, isn't it? I have the baby overnight tonight

Nimble- First of all I am very happy for you that your blood sugar and triglycerides went down. That is an accomplishment in itself. That is my goal as well but I will wait a few more weeks before I see my doctor.
Keeping up with your grand daugther is another accomplishment I am sure you are proud of. Keep it going. You are definitely in the right direction.

I'm back!

Well, sort of.

It has been a while since I posted in a Wonderslim thread. I did really well on the program but I was contracted to be a Nutrisystem blogger and when that was over I had to put all my effort into getting through grad school. Work had to be cut so finances were cut with it.

I graduated a few weeks ago and I am now on plan with tackling the weight. I am using Medical Weight Loss Clinic which has centers here in MI, but none are real close to me so I am using the online plan.

Which - I love.

Funny thing, their "nutrients" are Wonderslim, only with their label. So I have 3 regular food meals a day and 3 nutrients a day. I also get one snack bar if needed.

6 pounds down my first week.

Sadly, the forums are slow because the online program is new. So I had hoped to visit here and see who was new and who was still around.

(I can't believe we are own thread 10)

No sweat...glad you like it so far

I have tons of recipes...several are scattered throughout this thread. I tend to post them randomly. I think I may need to either create a separate thread for just the recipes or start posting them on my meager blog for referral. I will point you to the IP recipes though. I have found that many times, we can replace the the IP packets for WS packets and the recipes turn out pretty well. Some have to be tweaked though.

Thanks ZMom, doing great still, even when going out to eat at a casino restaurant this week. This is so do-able, and I love that I have not had the crazy afternoon munchies. I always have a meal coming up soon

I live in Reno, and I get my orders the next day or 2 days since I live just over the hill from company HQ (New Lifestyle). I would say my favorites are the dark chocolate and the lemon pudding/shakes. Oh! and the Veg Sloppy Joe, YuM

Has anyone tried the pickle crinkles snacks? I hope they're good, I've got two boxes coming.

Ooh! Almost time for watching fireworks! Have a good night all.

P.S. New Lifestyle has a $30 off $200 or more order if anyone is interested. Code JUL2013

HI! Yes, I love them so far. Oh, okay, I have to check out the recipes. I wonder if we can make a Wonderslim recipe thread or a sticky. I think you mentioned Tofu alfredo sauce in a PM, that you said was very good. Would love to try that one too! Hope you are doing great.

I live by my tofu alfredo. It allows for me to feel guilty without feeling guilt. Give me a wee bit and I will post up a link to several of my recipes. I've been meaning to do this for a while anyways

Cool

Hi. I'm new here. I just ordered a 12 week supply of wonderslim products because I need to lose 60 lbs and i have injured my knee and I know my weight is a factor. Anyway, I've tried all kinds of diets and my weight has fluctuated any where from 10 to 30 lbs over the last 10 years and I'm tired of it. I'm 37 years old and I have decided that I have to move forward and quit spinning my wheels. This will be the first time trying wonderslim as i wanted to do something new and I want to change my life instead of thinking I will ever be able to eat whatever I want to and do it in moderation. I also live in the world of thinking that i dont want to go through life without wine and bread and dessert. This thinking has gotten me to 205 lbs and miserable. So it's time for a change but I do this with fear of failure and the tredipation of thinking I might not be able to ever do it at all. Any help or suggestions or ideas would be so very helpful to me and much appreciated. This forum seems so welcoming so I thought I would give it a shot. Thanks for listening

Hi TaeBean and welcome to our little corner of paradise

The best advise I can think of is don't cave. The first three days is the hardest. If you can make it past those couple of days, it is all down hill from there. Be aware you are going to have cravings, headaches, mood swings, and be flat out miserable those first couple of days as your body adjusts to the low carb and low calorie life style. Drink your water...it will help. And if you need an extra packet that first week, don't be afraid of having it. But after that...it really is easy. I've managed to break a food addiction and find a new way of looking at food. I believe WS played a large part in that. Welcome...and looking forward to hearing of your sucesses!

Ladies - my NSV for this weekend...I SAT IN A MOVIE THEATRE SEAT WITH ROOM TO SPARE! Last time I sat in a movie theatre was 4 years ago...and I couldn't fit in the seats. Oh heck yes I am proud of myself
