Hi Everyone,
Been awhile since I posted but have been checking in.

My sponsor gave me a new assignment to complete step one this week using 4 questions following assigned readings. She is such a good wise sponsor.

I know I try to be a "know it all" I was getting all mixed up thinking about acceptance. Now I am getting what that means BEHIND the words. It's like driving through a small town in the country. You drive down mainstreet and you think...that's the town! But if you go down the side streets there is so much more to see.
Acceptance for me is ...going down the side streets in a small town.

I love my program and I love you guys.
By the way, the daughter I havn't spoken to in over 1 1/2 yrs sent me an email today. Miracles from my HP.

It's amazing how many blessings can come into your life when you're open to them and not stuck using food instead of living life.

BTW, you are doing GREAT with your weight loss. Truly inspiring.

Bumps I love your profound definition of ‘acceptance’.
You’ve really helped me with that today, because I’m still early enough in OA that acceptance has not deepened, but you remind me very powerfully that AA acceptance evolved for me layer by layer in God’s time.

Patience is not one of my natural virtues!! The programme tells me to ‘Give time time’. All I need to do is the next right thing and the acceptance will deepen as I go - like your side-street adventure!

I put my 1st goal wt in the "current" slot. I weigh in again Sept. 10th
I kept wondering why folks were telling me I am doing so well, I am...but that was the wrong entry. ooops
