Hi everyone, I just started the 17day diet (Day 1 today!!) and looking for advice and tips! I am looking for the support to stay with this and be able to support others and bounce back and forth ideas and recipes. Last yr I did Atkins and it worked well but was definately not a lifestyle chnage and i gained almost it all back. i hated not having fruits and yogurt and that is what interested me in the 17DD. I did have a question on excercise as the book noted 17 min of walking 2x a day. I read somehwere you shouldn't over exert yourself with excercise on this diet in stage 1 due to low calories. Is this true? I want to follow it correctly and see results and I had planned on going to the gym 5x a week and most classes are strenuous so would be a lot more than a brisk 17min walk. I need to lose 26lbs and will do ANYTHING to get there!! I get so mad at myself for putting this weight on and really need support to make this happen. Hi, all! Sorry I hadn't checked back on this thread. I've just finished Cycle 1. I had a couple of cheats and lost 9 lbs. It is hard the first few days, but you'll definitely see results if you stick with it.
good morning! I finished cycle one a couple of days ago and feel good so far in cycle 2, I have lost almost 14 pounds since 1/1/13, but I know a lot of why I feel better is no more diet sodas! I do have an occasional unsweetened iced tea or half a cup of coffee a couple days a week, but I have cut out pretty much anything else artificial in my diet, all of the whole fresh foods are what is most appealing to me. I hope you all are doing as well too. I have a cruise in 2 weeks, so I feel like I'm going to do well until then for sure, but I am so afraid to get too far off track on my trip.
