Default Decreased Appetite Increased Thirstyness lol

The past few days I have noticed my appetite and cravings for food have decreased, but im constantly thirsty, usually all i can think about is chips or popcorn etc and i usually give into my cravings which is my downfall but now all i can think about is water, orange juice, apple juice, grape juice etc...i was thinking it could be stress but my appetite and cravings usually increase when im stressed or upset and i tend to eat more, im an emotional eater of sorts....any suggestions???? Thanks.

I've often heard that when we think we are hungry, that we are really thirsty, and should drink water to see if that helps. Maybe that was your situation, and your body is recognizing it?

Have you been tested for diabetes? One of the symptoms is increased thirstiness.

Trixie,

If you feel your thirst is excessive beyond 8 square glasses per day, it may benefit you to advise your doctor. Our bodies seem to produce different cravings as we change eating patterns.

As Suzanne mentioned, water is sometimes what the body is asking for (and we complicated the request by answering with chips, sweets, etc.)

Careful not to overdue the juices; water is the preferred thirst quencher. Juices, particularly bottled, have loads of sugar that can sabotage all your good efforts.

Take care,
Jean
