Default Sweet Treats!

I have to know what each of you does for a little "sweet" at the end of a meal. I have to have some kind of sweet or chocolate something at least once a day and I don't want to blow my calories by eating a whole cake! (which I could do) So please share quick ideas or recipes that I can make that are delictable and delicious and easy on my fitday!!!! Thanks for sharing in advance.

Jello Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding

I know what you mean about having to have something sweet I'm the same way. I recently got rid of everything sweet and just got pudding instead because I started going overboard on sweet stuff. Now since pudding is all I have its all I can eat (it helps that I don't particularly like pudding ) because I'm not going to the store just for some ice cream, candy, whatever. It's only like 60 calories per little cup, I buy a big thing at Walmart of the pre-made pre-put-in-little-cups kind so I don't mess up the serving size.

So, far getting rid of the sweets is working great for me, I've lost 3 pounds in these first five days.

SF or FF Fudgesicles. 45 calories per chocolately indulgence. Works for both chocolate and ice cream cravings, and especially well for chocolate ice cream cravings.

Also, I buy bags of mini Snickers or Hersheys, then put them in the freezer and take only 1 to work with me, since my chocolate craving time is mid-afternoon. If your cravings come late evening, leave them at work and only take 1 home. Or give them to a significant other or best buddy or workout partner to dole out. For the mini Snickers (not fun-size, those are about 100 calories each), 2 of them have about 45-50 cals, and the mini Hersheys are around 50 calories each too. Or Hershey kisses, but I don't know their calorie count or how many to have (though I'd guess just 1 or 2). I have to have nuts or nuget or something besides plain chocolate.

Cool Whip Free is good too, if you like eating cool whip. Give me some nice juicy strawberries and some cool whip free and I am a happy girl! Actually, that works with just about any fruit. Grapes, bananas, nectarines, any berries, cherries, whatever you like. And if you want to get really fancy, mix a little FF vanilla- or fruit-flavored yogurt with the cool whip and make a yummy dip.

OH, and I second the pudding cups vote! They work great, if you like pudding. Sometimes they do fine for me, at other times my tummy says, "I don't want pudding. If you give me pudding I will still want something else, so you might as well skip the pudding in the first place and save the calories." See, sometimes my tummy gives me decent advice sometimes.

Yeah, so I find lots of little treats. If I couldn't have *something,* I could never commit to losing a single pound. And the reason I lost any weight at all was that I found I could count calories and still eat foods I like. Major epiphany for me.

I'd love to hear some other ideas too!

Since I'm on a low carb, picking sweets is done very carefully when shopping..lol. I have a 4 y/o, which makes it harder..but have found a way around giving her sweets without me feeling tempted. Anyhow....
Low carb ice cream is a life saver...or for a quick sugar fix, I get the baskin & robbins sugar free candies. They are yummy. Even the low carb reese cups are pretty good. They taste way better than the low carb bars.
oh..and I have a new found love of chocolate milk..the low carb way

I just found a tasty treat recipe from the hungry-girl website. (Great food tips on that site!) Take ff vanilla pudding, top with sliced bananas, lite cool whip and 1/2 a crushed graham cracker for instant Banana Cream Pie! I cant wait to try that!
