Chinese food...?

  • I know that eating out is bad for a healthy lifestyle. However, if I know that I'm going out I'd like to have a plan of some healthy Options.
Tonight, it is going to be Chinese and I was wondering if anyone had any healthy recommendations?
    What would You get?
  • The Chinese places I go to will do steamed entrees rather than stir-fried. I usually get chicken and broccoli or beef with string beans. If you want soup, I would stick with hot & sour or egg drop. And I typically go for brown rice to minimize the blood sugar spike that comes from white rice.

I've successfully eaten at PF Changs (a national Chinese chain) and lost weight the next day -- can't remember everything I ate, but definately the lettuce wraps.

    Good luck!
  • Our chinese take out also does the steamed entree's. I usually get the shrimp and broccoli or the chicken and broccoli.
  • Panda Express is a chain Chinese Food place we have around here. Even if you don't end up eating at a Panda Express I think their nutritional information helps out some. Good luck!
